A Traveler's Return

(Thanks to a certain Cai for the cover, and to my editor for fixing it up after the title change ^^) All right, this is really a chaotic story packed with all the cliched tropes: modern-day rebirth, an old cucumber painted green, an older character raising a younger one, and so on. (Why do I feel like I can see thunderbolts everywhere... shudder.) Ahem. But as a non-typical person, our shou is still a non-typical shou, and our rebirth... is probably non-typical too. The reborn part doesn't begin until the first volume ends, nearly forty thousand words in. I gaze wistfully at the sky at a 45-degree angle. I wonder if everyone can stick around that long... Finally, as always, this is a slow-burn story. P.S. This is an exclusive publication. Please don't repost ^^ New story: A mystery featuring An An in a guest role. Just-finished older story: All right, my dears. I know what time of year it is, and about the website's crackdown. But Chinese characters are wonderfully versatile, so even if I keep everything completely clean, it's hard not to have a few lines that could be misunderstood. If you spot any, let me know ^^ Thanks! Announcement: My dears, I've discussed it with my editor, and this story will go VIP next Tuesday, September 15. Those of you who've reposted it, please take it down. Thank you. I'll make sure the quality stays high after it goes VIP ^_^ Thanks for all your support. My column, made by a friend. Feel free to take a look if you're interested ^_^ Theme:
