The Deep Space Descent

[Long comment with personal analysis and spoilers, please read with caution] The biggest highlight of this article is that the sense of suspense is well created. Starting from the weird speech of the corpse at the beginning, the quiet life of the heroine is broken. From then on, the truth and falsehood of the world begin to be confused, and everything develops in a confusing and unpredictable direction. Then, the memory that the heroine lost inexplicably, unknown monsters lurking in the dark, always looking maliciously, horrifying folklore rumors, true and false information from different camps... The truth seems to be wrapped in a mystery covered with thick fog, which makes people eager to read on. It is full of attraction and has a strong sense of restraint. (Especially when the dead friend warns the heroine, it's really scary and tender at the same time) But the creation of the heroine's character is really difficult to explain in words [The following is a long complaint] Personally, I feel that the rhythm of the story has changed since the heroine embarked on a journey to the grassland to find the truth. The heroine is always startled in one false alarm after another (there are many such plots, and the description routines are very similar, as one reader said: "I always look closely..., My mind is numb and vain, then a chill goes down my spine, and I take a deep breath..." This continuous description of surprises makes the reader look mentally tired, and there are many times "It turns out he has the same face as her!"). It is understandable that the author wanted to write about the powerlessness and fear of an ordinary person after being continuously polluted by indescribable mental pollution, but the portrayal was too weak. The heroine is forced by the monster to be unable to resist, and has no power to parry. When faced with the crisis, she is sometimes sensitive and sometimes arbitrary and rough. She is often on the verge of mental collapse, and needs the rescue of the hero or friends every time. His thoughts are always inexplicably divergent at dangerous life-or-death moments, he is always affirming and denying, worrying about gains and losses, and even making no distinction between good and bad. He is full of self-confidence, has an inexplicable sense of mission, and is lonely and courageous. He has no ability, but he runs wildly on the road to death, and finally lets the male protagonist wipe his ass. (For example, when rescuing the male protagonist, one second she was being chased by the entity, and she had to rely on the male protagonist to risk her life to get out of danger. The next second, she patted her head and remembered that she could not leave the seriously injured male protagonist behind. She ignored the advice and had to face the entity. I don't know what she was thinking. She has known the enemy. Do you have a plan to deal with it? Why are you so determined to save the hero, relying on true love and invincibility, and the halo of the protagonist, but he is saved by the hero again, making the situation even more dangerous? It reminds me of the stinky and long-lasting American heroines I have seen before.) I'm confused? Is it fear or arrogance? Even if she is mentally contaminated, it seems strange (and the author has not described it in detail, so this explanation does not make sense). It just makes people feel that the heroine is particularly twisted and neurotic. Watching her trying to die again and again, my heart is the same as a reader in the comment area questioned, "Doesn't she have a moment of clarity? Doesn't she have any self-judgment? Does she have to use stupid to describe it?" But such a weak heroine is the savior, the backbone of everyone, her friends and lover sacrifice their lives to advance her salvation mission, but she still hesitates and retreats at the last moment. I really don't like this kind of protagonist who is weak both physically and mentally. Even at the end, she didn't get a lot of growth. She was like a wind-up machine with no subjective initiative from beginning to end. She would do whatever others asked her to do. She was pushed forward (because salvation is important, because she is the only one who can reach the machine, and because her friends have sacrificed for her, so she must do it). In the end, she was protected by her friends and lovers all the way to complete her noble mission. Many readers like to use the gloomy style and tone of Kexi novels to make up for the weakness of the heroine. This kind of words makes their ears prick. Please, please don't talk about the irresistible nature of the traditional Cthulhu text. This article only draws on Cthulhu elements. You really must not resist or look directly at it. The heroine and her group were wiped out when they came into contact with the entity five years ago. The setting of this article is that there are ways to resist, or room and rules that can be dealt with (this is also true from the capabilities of the machine and the final reveal). Before the real entity arrives, humans have a lot of room to play. Isn't it funny to ignore the novel itself and use the label of Grammar to refute the doubts? To be honest, from the perspective of a reader, what I most want to see in this kind of novel is not the eerie and thrilling atmosphere of the story (of course this is very important), but the protagonist's courageous character who is willing to endure hardships, and who is fearful but never moves forward. The heroine's character development is not satisfactory. The hero's highlights and other people's highlights steal her limelight, making the heroine appear too weak (not even as proud and determined as her friend Jue Jue). Although the heroine is set to be an ordinary person, without a golden finger, and unable to tear apart monsters with her hands, she can't really be an ordinary person, right? It is impossible to become the protagonist if she is ordinary. No matter how ordinary she is, she is still the protagonist of a story. She must have a personality charm that is different from ordinary people. Otherwise, why was she able to survive alone from the group destruction incident five years ago? Why is she special? But after a series of terrifying experiences, the heroine was either lucky enough to avoid danger, or had help from noble people, and even some actions that seemed to be suicidal had little impact (ordinary people would have died many times earlier). I really felt speechless, so even though the author always described how dangerous the heroine was in danger, I saw it without any trouble, and I didn't even need to use my brain. (Anyway, it is the male protagonist who saves her, and she can always save her from danger. It seems that she does not have a golden finger, but the male protagonist is actually her golden finger.) Why others must make sacrifices for her can be explained by saying "You are special". The protagonist's halo is too great. The heroine's becoming the protagonist relies on luck, not excellence. Her own personality charm does not allow readers to see the shining point of human nature. I feel very frustrated. The Cthulhu novel really doesn't need the inevitable outcome of the heroine's victory. It only needs to show her wisdom as a person, the boldness of her actions, and a little bit of humanity. As a reader, it will not be so aggrieved and uncomfortable (not to mention that the protagonist of the Cthulhu novel should be reduced to intelligence, and he can only be unable to deal with it, and can only show the frailty and madness of human nature. Obviously, this kind of novel with a full sense of scope is very suitable for setting off the arc of the character). The protagonist's lack of personality charm is probably the biggest flaw of this article, so I saw people abandoning the article in the comment area one after another, because they really don't have enough empathy for the heroine. [Talk about the emotional line that has been criticized] Different from the doubts of many readers, I can understand the heroine's liking for the hero, and it is also stated in the article - the suspension bridge effect in times of crisis. Think about it from your perspective. In a world that is gradually alienated and lonely, no one around you can understand you. You have to face many unknown fears alone, and be impacted by a lot of true and false information. I don't know. What choice is right or wrong? You have been in danger many times. You have been careful step by step but you still walked into the trap carefully laid out by others. But there is someone who always stands firmly in front of you, chooses you, protects you, and does not back down even after being tested many times. Isn't this touching? I am firmly chosen every time. I feel very dreamy. But the way the heroine handles the relationship between the hero and heroine makes people uncomfortable. It mainly exists in the long stretch of the previous volume where the hero and heroine have not officially settled down. The hero has obviously been trying to get close to the heroine and protect her, but the heroine always seems to be ignorant and always holds back in times of crisis. She doubts and believes, believes and doubts, which makes people feel tired. (This is still due to the problem of the heroine's character creation - she can't distinguish between good and bad, has no ability to judge, has inexplicable beliefs and doubts, and is always neurotic about gains and losses.) Similarly, the male protagonist's love for the female protagonist seems inexplicable. I personally don't like this kind of opening because the "origin" is unknown and the affectionate male protagonist has been silently protecting the heroine (the ending is decrypted and I still think it's weird and not innocent at all), and in a science fiction adventure novel, a protective male protagonist really weakens the highlight of the heroine, making the heroine weak. If the heroine is changed and the hero is matched with a comrade, an ally, or a neutral character, the emotional line of this type of theme will be much better. And the male protagonist is an inhuman creature. I don't understand why he falls in love with the female protagonist easily and wholeheartedly. In the article, the male protagonist himself explained that he fell in love with the female protagonist because she saved him in the solar greenhouse regardless of her life. However, after their first meeting, their body language seemed as if they had known each other a long time ago, but the female protagonist did not remember it. From the beginning, the male protagonist showed an inexplicable familiarity with the female protagonist, as if they had been in love for a long time in the past, and even sacrificed their lives time and time again. Later, he also said disgusting words such as "I will always protect you" and "living for you", making it very affectionate. In this way, but after reading the whole story, I didn't see the thrilling plot of their acquaintance and the rapid change of their relationship. In my mind, only this description is special: the male protagonist can see the gentle undertones under the cold personality of the female protagonist. This, this... I don't remember that there is a corresponding plot, can it be explained by the fact that the male protagonist naturally pays a lot of attention to the female protagonist? , In short, the change in their relationship was very abrupt (but the emotional scene after they finally talked about it was still quite sweet). [Talk about the suspenseful plot line] Although I don't like the character creation very much, the plot line of this article is really good, with lots of foreshadowing and a sense of suspense (so it attracts me to continue reading). There are several plots that I can't stop watching, such as the strange arrival before traveling to the grassland at the beginning, Huang's strange diary, the invasion of the snow entity in the hotel, the causes and consequences of the heroine's participation in the Deep Space Advent initiation ceremony, and the search for friends in the Black Tower timeline to find the truth. It is really well written, connected back and forth, and constantly reversed. It is still very enjoyable to watch. The description of the Grameen atmosphere in the article is very good. But there are also shortcomings. As mentioned above, there are frequent surprises, fear of the unknown, unknown crazy ravings, the vastness of the starry sky, and oneself as small as dust... In the final article, I saw a series of related descriptions that are a bit aesthetically fatigued, weakening the sense of atmosphere. I suddenly understood why some readers in the comment area would say that those slow-fire ones with a little Ke element added are not necessary, but this article, as a traditional Ke style, is very cold, because too much is not enough. The Ke itself is very scary and majestic, but when the scary and majestic descriptions become the norm, they become numb. In the early stage, the readers' psychology is often raised very high, and they don't know how to continue this psychological emotion later. Other highlights Of course, this article still has many highlights that make it a good article, such as the construction of weird pictures, the imagination of the unconstrained plot, the structure of the majestic world view, and the exploration of the truth of the world. The writing is good, the sense of substitution is strong, and it is very Matrix style. Some philosophical questions that directly hit the topic are also thought-provoking. Observing the starry sky is searching for reality, but it is close to the truth of despair. It is better to persevere in exploring the truth than to sleep in a false dream. The truth represents cruelty and chaos, bringing catastrophe to mankind, while falsehood weaves a utopia where no one is disturbed and the years are peaceful. In the dream of self-deception, mankind can preserve itself and wait for redemption. The real and the false, the real and the fake, it's really amazing. I also like this sentence at the beginning: What is scary is not the fear itself, but your true perception of the fear. Because you can't see the real horror at all, you don't have fear. In the same way, when you are afraid of things, the fear will become true, as if it has substance. [Discuss the brain-burning part, major spoilers] Let's talk about your understanding of this brain-burning sentence in this article—death in the past is inevitable. First of all, this article is a brain-in-a-vat setting. In order to avoid the invasion of physical viruses, all human bodies remain in the machine, but thoughts persist (or reincarnate) in the virtual world, thereby maintaining the human fire. Therefore, normal death is not death, and one can still be reincarnated for eternal life through programming. So why is death inevitable in the past? It is obvious that he has lived forever. Of course it was observed by the entity. The damage caused by the entity is irreversible. As the author explains in the extra explanation, people like Feng Huang will not be reborn as the world restarts. Like those staff members who committed suicide, they were all killed by the influence of the entity. The body equivalent to reality was discovered and was filled with the virus of the entity. (That's why the article has been emphasizing, don't be observed by them, don't come into contact with them, they bring real death) According to the logic of the story, every time there is an entity crisis (someone is killed by the entity, and death is a foregone conclusion and cannot be modified), the timeline of other people's memories will change, and they will always die in the past. The world must maintain the false truth and protect the collective consciousness of mankind. After the emergence of uncontrollable factors such as physical killings, in order to avoid the step-by-step contagion of real fear, the relevant data of living people can only be deleted. Therefore, people have amnesia, and the effect is that they are dead in the past. The timeline of this article only exists in the past and future. Because the timeline can be traversed, the future and past of different people are relative. The so-called present of the protagonist is only the future or past of others, thus showing the phenomenon that your past and my future are at the same node. Amnesia represents a change in the timeline, and the traces of the change in the timeline will be recorded, giving the protagonist an opportunity to restore his memory. Restoring memory is not equivalent to changing the outcome of past deaths, it only enables the character to complete tasks with memories, and even achieve a certain death ending. Although the protagonist returns to the past layout, the essence of his own memory is backward. The future protagonist only makes up for the past. If the future protagonist is "recorded and observed" by the entity (the entity also has the ability to travel across the timeline to hunt down), he will inevitably have to die in the past, even if the future is Cause and effect are in the past, which seems like a logical fallacy. In fact, as long as you follow the memory behavior of people who travel through time and space, the trouble of jumping out of time will be very clear (this is the case with Neil in Creed. He has long died in the protagonist's past, but is still alive in the protagonist's future, but he died in the present on his own timeline).

It's almost finished. How should I put it? After watching The Matrix and the copywriting, I can basically guess what the world view is like from the beginning, but the various reversals in the middle are really unexpected, and the author's writing is also very strong. As for the emotional line, I actually think it's okay. Although the male and female protagonists were inexplicably familiar at first, it became quite exciting later on. Hey, maybe I've always been biased towards the female protagonist when reading the novel. I also think there's nothing wrong with the female protagonist. It's normal for her to doubt the male protagonist. As I read it, I always thought he had bad intentions and why he was so good somehow. The truth is that it's really so inexplicable.

This one is different from the style of Indescribable Town. That one is more ancient folklore, and this one is more modern science fiction. Overall, I personally prefer the town book, and the deep space book basically reveals several concepts in the middle. Although there are some reversals in the later stages, it is less mysterious, there are not so many mysteries, and there is less tension and excitement. It can be seen that the author has always been a master of emotional dramas [dog head]

I read it in two days in one go. I can't say enough about the early atmosphere. I really like this kind of book. Compared with the author's other book "The Unspeakable Town", this book has a more ambitious intention. Especially when I saw that my college roommates died one by one and the heroine persisted, I was really emotional. It's rare that I don't find an article disgusting with human justice. In the end, I felt that Xu Nian was missing a lot.

It's still very interesting to watch. I personally feel that the sweet love story in the extra episode is better than the emotional line in the main text. [Poor] I feel that some of the emotions in the previous chapter were a bit deliberate to foreshadow, and it felt like a sudden Mary Sue without knowing it? Also, the ending is very well written. I feel that the heroine's character is established immediately, but before the end, the heroine's character feels a bit unsettled [poor] Both Indescribable and Deep Space are very good-looking, but I personally like the ending of Deep Space better. As for the character design, the feeling of being cold and cold is more sustainable. I personally like it better (not that I don't like the heroine) [poor] [poor] [poor] There is indeed a feeling that the plot is better than the emotional line, but for me, is it because some places suddenly feel a bit abrupt (especially the first part)? Suddenly I remembered that the male protagonist was covered in blood and asked the female protagonist why she didn't believe him. Did you fill in the foreshadowing? I feel like I didn't see it later, I only knew that the heroine pushed the hero down, maybe I didn't pay attention [scared] [scared] In short, I don't want to wait for the serialization, I hope to see the end of Northeastern China soon [hahahahaha][hahahahahahaha] and then I can read the third book. I am looking forward to the third book [hahahahahahahahahahahahaha] The male protagonist's standing drawing is very handsome. I hope it will get better and better [hahahahahahahahahaha][hahahahahahahahaha]

Damn it, that fungus can't be the predecessor of the entity...

The original selfie was thought to be foreshadowing, haha, but now it seems like there is no qaq, but the whole article is very nice! ! Marvel at the author's imagination

I couldn't help but skip to the finale to watch the extra chapter. I haven't finished the previous volume yet, but I can feel the indescribable fear of the Ke system created by the author (so far). The author also mentioned that he was influenced by "The Forgotten Southland". The narrator of the book is called the first person, so there is logic. The editing is confusing and the narrative is contradictory, but the novel Deep Space is in the third person. I always feel that the author can't help but describe the heroine's confusion from the first place. This description is indeed very immersive, but the heroine feels very weak and there is nothing to show her charm. Then I jumped into the extra chapter to watch it. The world restarted. Although everyone who died was alive and the living were still alive, I always had the feeling that it would start again, like an ouroboros. "The Forgotten Southland" has a really strong flavor. The good thing is that the taste is real, the suspense is enough, and the writing is also good. Well, this is just my current feeling. To be honest, it's a bit unfavorable to rate it before I've finished reading it. Please forgive me for not reviewing it before I finish reading it. I will review it again after I finish reading it. [Let me be healthy]

Mastermind: "I" am finally with the human I love most [Caigou]

I particularly like this one! Finally, I really felt the grand narrative! I didn't expect to shed tears in a horror novel! We will remember them!
