[Lovecraftian] I Led the Evil God Astray, Then Ran for It

A quick note about my upcoming novel. It's another Lovecraftian tale: "[Lovecraftian] After Becoming a Tycoon, I Was Targeted by an Evil God." The blurb is below~ Dickens, a horror novelist who has lost his inspiration, goes to a bar to drink himself into a stupor in search of ideas. There, he sees an inspiration muse of devilish charm: a young flute player. Determined to seize his inspiration and write a work he can be proud of, Dickens decides to set out on a journey with his muse. Accompanied by the flute's lilting, bizarre melody, the two encounter strange events beyond the limits of human imagination, things that defy description. In a border town, an evil obsession with immortality and desires tangled together. When the manor maid extinguishes the lights, darkness stretches and writhes in the corners. Deep in a remote mountain range, a gigantic underground maze conceals distorted space. Aboard a cruise ship crowded with wealthy merchants and nobles, a blue-gray figure lurks beneath the water. Beneath the earth, dazzling light blooms, and the town becomes a graveyard for the living. As the flute plays, the young musician gazes amusedly at the writer, who is on the verge of madness and lost in chaos, eagerly anticipating the drama about to unfold. Only when the music ends does Dickens, having finished his work, turn to the flute player with a thoroughly satisfied smile. "You're the greatest musician I've ever met. I can't wait to see a great work come into being!" Watching the writer stride away, the flute player silently crushes his flute. With his novel a bestseller and himself an overnight sensation, Dickens is lying on his soft bed, about to drift off to sleep, when the flute sounds again. "Do all you evil gods have no sense of time? It's midnight!" Dickens grabs a pillow and throws it at the stern young man standing in the doorway. The young man gives him a knowing smile. "Sorry. Shouldn't we settle the score for getting your inspiration flowing?" [Reader's Guide] 1. Lovecraftian fiction. Sources include Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Society, with plenty of original additions that will be explained in advance. 2. Set in a fictional world, with an effort made to keep the worldbuilding plausible. Don't nitpick. 3. This is my first time writing in this genre, so it may not be entirely rigorous. Please bear with me. If you have a concern, please be polite. Reasonable suggestions are welcome. 4. The romance is a slow burn and strange. The pairing is set. The author is happily writing away, and everyone is a villain. "[Lovecraftian] After Becoming a Tycoon, I Was Targeted by an Evil God" When Ye Se'an Chronos thought he would have to give up painting to make ends meet, an inheritance from his grandmother's sister transformed him from a penniless young man into a tycoon. It was a wine estate in a remote town. The moment Ye Se'an set foot on the land, he felt as though he had become one with it. The rich aroma of fine wine intoxicated him. As the wine's mellow fragrance grew richer, Ye Se'an's paintings became more and more popular. Everyone who bought one was captivated by it and came to the town, heedless of everything, to seek its source. But Ye Se'an gradually realized that the land beneath his feet seemed to be alive, and that the town was shrouded in a terrifying, twisted secret. Amid endless sleepless nights, he caught fleeting glimpses of a pair of illusory, bewitching green eyes. It seemed that someone was always watching him. Fertile, soft soil, and fragrant blossoms flowing with thick, scarlet liquid. A tranquil, frozen lake, where blue-black scales accompany beautiful, strange howls. A cold, dark-green forest, where pure-white rabbits devour stinking, writhing venomous snakes. Simple townsfolk, holding up golden cups as they nourish a deformed goat with milk. A sacred old church, where a priest fervently and madly praises the great Old Ones. At a lavish, frenzied banquet, gentle candlelight gleams on jewels as swaying hems drift past. Ye Se'an is overcome with disgust and fear. He screams and weeps, trying to escape it all. Only the young man at the center of the stage raises his pale, pointed chin, those beastlike green eyes taking in the spectacle before him. "Perform for me. Amuse me, flatter me, and fawn on me with all your might. Perhaps your pleading and tail-wagging will amuse me a little." He raises his glass elegantly, looking down at the people collapsing into madness. Endless pursuit, bizarre dreams interwoven with reality, and an inescapable estate like a Mobius strip that loops forever. After dying again and again, Ye Se'an obtains the key to fight back. He presses a beautiful mithril dagger against the young man's pale throat and smiles in triumph. "Will you kill me?" "Of course. I'll kill you, and I'll kill you countless times." After burying the pale corpse in the earth, Ye Se'an finally returns to a peaceful life. He becomes a famous painter and, along with his great renown, comes to own an estate of his own. Everything would be perfect if not for that huge pest with green eyes, who appears by his window every day, props up his head, gazes at him with clear eyes and a sweet smile, and says in a magnetic voice, "You haven't killed me today yet~" Ye Se'an angrily snaps his paintbrush and splashes the brush water out the window. "Get lost!" [Reader's Guide] 1. Lovecraftian fiction. Sources include Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Society, with plenty of original additions that will be explained in advance. 2.
