Notice about removing the paywall:
I'm sorry, but I may not be able to continue writing this story for now. I'll discuss the process of removing the paywall with my editor and then apply to have it removed. After that, I'll post the outlines I've already written for each arc.
At first, I only wanted to write a story about two crazies. But when I started working on the outline, it veered off course. The outline kept growing until it became a story about a lazy Taoist master saving the world.
From Jiang Jiu a hundred years ago to Yuan Xing in later years, they were always the ones sacrificed and offered up, sacrificed by their times and by their blood relatives.
Xu Yan at the hotel, Zheng Zi and her mother in the maple forest, the baby girl at the bottom of the lake, and so on. They are suffering, a microcosm of it, souls beyond redemption.
We all hope for someone like Zhou Feng, burning fiercely like a beacon fire, driving away the darkness, saving those who suffer, and delivering the sorrowful from their pain. I have always believed that in that world, Zhou Feng will accomplish all of this.
The outlines I'll post later will include the outline for each arc and biographies of the main characters. I don't know when I'll be able to post them, or whether this story will ever be completed. I'm truly sorry. Writing this story has been incredibly painful for me. Every time I open the document, I feel cold all over and my mind turns to mush. It's suffocating. But if I get the chance, I hope to see it reach its ending. Whenever I can write, I'll keep going.
So even after the paywall is removed, I won't lock this story.
I want to sincerely apologize once again to all the lovely readers who have been reading this story. I'm sorry.
I finally made this decision at two-thirty in the morning. Please excuse any awkward phrasing or disjointed writing. Once again, I'm sorry. [Bows]
Story blurb:
Blurb One:
In the final years of the previous dynasty, chaos engulfed the land and heretics stole the nation's fortune. The Zhou family, whose generations of Grand State Preceptors had protected the dynasty, were disgraced and exiled from the capital, forced to conceal their identities.
After the previous dynasty fell, the nation's fortunes faltered and foreign tribes invaded. The Zhou family descended from the mountains to save the world. A hundred went, and not one returned. Only a single line of descendants remained, and by the third generation, all that was left was the lazy Zhou Feng.
Zhou Feng inherited her grandfather's teachings. She knew astronomy and geography above, and every trivial detail below. But she was a lazy fish through and through, lying around in a remote mountain village for more than twenty years, growing lazy to perfection.
Then one day, someone came to collect a debt owed by her cheap excuse for a father, demanding she repay it through marriage. It was a blind arranged match, and the two were tied together by the red thread of fate on the very first day they met and wed.
Her new wife was unusual. She attracted evil spirits and wasn't quite right in the head, forcing Zhou Feng, long accustomed to laziness, to get moving.
Once she stepped into the game, Zhou Feng glimpsed a corner of destiny through the shadows. But no matter how wild the storm, she would have to brave it.
Arc order:
0. Ghostly shadows in the bamboo grove
1. Terror at the hotel
2. Searching for a girl in the maple forest
3. The baby at the bottom of the lake
4. The lost actor
5. The injustice buried in the well
6. A soul sealed in a gem
7. The indifferent bystanders
8. A Chinese parasol tree
9. The "vegetative state"
10. The soul guarding the tomb
Blurb Two:
A powerful Taoist master who only wants to be a total deadbeat [Zhou Feng] x a troubled, overzealous wife who is working hard to endure [Yuan Xing]
The Zhou family owed the Yuan family a favor. The Yuans had only one demand: Zhou Feng had to marry their mad young lady, Yuan Xing, and the debt would be settled.
Zhou Feng agreed. The day after they registered their marriage, she brought the deranged Yuan Xing back to their remote mountain village.
After caring for the mad Yuan Xing for a month, Zhou Feng realized that this mad young lady... seemed to be faking it.
Zhou Feng: Let's just live like this, half-dead, until we die. Lie down until death.
Yuan Xing: My revenge isn't complete, and my family's fortune is still in my enemies' hands. I can't die! Charge!
Zhou Feng, forced to get fired up for her wife: ...What a calamity.
Reader's Guide:
1. The blurb has changed considerably. There's not much focus on the romance.
2. Same-sex marriage is legal in this world. Happy ending.
3. Both leads are each other's one and only.
4. The story involves supernatural mysticism. It's all made up by the author, so please don't take it as fact.
A recommendation for the next story in my author profile: The Substitute Lover [Entertainment Industry]. If you're interested, you can add it to your favorites. There are other stories on my profile too, so feel free to add those as well!
Blurb:
A stunning substitute lover [Ming Xin] x a domineering CEO and movie star with an actual mental disorder [Fu Qing]
Ming Xin knew from beginning to end that she was Fu Qing's substitute. Fu Qing liked her for her face and for how obedient she was.
Fu Qing really was the perfect sugar mommy: generous, gentle, considerate, and possessed of a face that always made Ming Xin's heart flutter. So Ming Xin was more than willing to be her obedient substitute lover.
Just when Ming Xin thought things would go on like this forever, someone told her that the real deal had returned and it was time for this fake to pack up and leave.
A dream remains a dream, no matter how many years you've had it. One poke is all it takes to burst, one call to wake you up.
Following the principles of being the perfect substitute, Ming Xin took the initiative and went to see Fu Qing. But that very day, Fu Qing was in a car accident and suffered memory problems. In Fu Qing's memories, Ming Xin was her legitimate girlfriend, and she insisted on going public with their relationship.
Ming Xin: ??!! What do you do when your sugar mommy's brain is broken? Asking for a friend! It's urgent!
For Fu Qing to recover as soon as possible, the Fu family gave Ming Xin a huge sum of money to pretend to be Fu Qing's girlfriend for a while. Ming Xin had planned to stick to the rules of being a substitute and refuse outright, but when she saw all those zeroes, she shamefully wavered.
Ming Xin: I wanted to say no, but they offered too much.
After Ming Xin had (happily) endured the indignity of playing Fu Qing's girlfriend for a while, the neglected woman Fu Qing had always cherished could take it no longer and came looking for them. Fu Qing, still suffering from memory problems, watched the show from the sidelines. Then she slipped, hit her head again, and got her memories back.
Seeing that things were going south, Ming Xin packed up and tried to run. She had only just reached the airport when Fu Qing, her head wrapped in bandages, cornered her.
"We're getting engaged tomorrow. Why are you running?"
"Didn't your brain get fixed when you fell?"
"That's no reason to call off the wedding."
Ming Xin: ???? Looks like my sugar mommy's brain is beyond repair.
Years into their marriage, Ming Xin clutched her aching waist and kicked Fu Qing away from her.
Ming Xin: Is your brain still not fixed?
Fu Qing: One brain for one wife. Worth it.
Ming Xin: ...I told you to use your brain to win me over, not to use your brain to win me over!

Theme: Love and justice will never be late
I hope that Zhou Feng, Yuan Xing, Jiang Jiu, Little Fox, Zheng Zi and others, whether they are protagonists or supporting characters, will become stronger and become the masters of their own lives and no longer be controlled by others. I also hope that the author can fill this small hole. I want to see the protagonist group suppress the villain and beat him.
No! Look at this big black one. I totally take my uncle's dog. His dog is a black dog with a strip of white hair below the chest. It's very cute!
The Yuan family is too rubbish! Stealing someone else's family's luck and changing it, causing the Chu family to be ruined and impoverished. The sacrifice he offered was his unwanted newborn daughter, and he died as a result of the unscrupulous scumbag father who practiced the method. In the end, the spell was successful, but in exchange for a painless price. And now he has found a way to transfer this price to Zhou Feng Really taking advantage of everything, eating people and enjoying everything For more than twenty years, I have ignored and despised the children who were used as sacrifices. It is really disgusting. The Jiang family, which caused Jiang Jiu to claim to be a descendant of the royal family, is also disgusting. It's really a nest of snakes and rats. This will make their death miserable! Now two people and one dog have no money in a circle. To be honest, they shouldn't be able to make a fortune by fortune telling. Once they reveal their ability, the Yuan family will not let it go.
