Quarantine

June 6, 3036, 6 p.m.

A colossal shape devoured the sun, and the people on the streets twisted into all manner of strange beastly forms.

A gigantic shadow appeared above the sea. A monstrous face with indistinct features lurked deep in the clouds. As twisted limbs came crashing down from the sky, the first cries of terror rang out, and alarms warning of danger sounded one after another around the world.

The alien creatures' roars were kept beyond the warning lines. As the quarantine zones gradually expanded, the gods' advance into the human world was forced to a halt.

But one day, an alarm suddenly rang out in a quarantine zone for the first time in ages.

By the time everyone arrived, they saw a tentacle wrapped tightly around the wrist of the institute's unusually young director, right at the edge of the zone.

Putting on a show of calm, Xu Shi'an swept his hand behind him, just about to send the crowd away, when someone suddenly grabbed the tip of his tail.

In the thickening fog, the man on the quarantine list gently stroked the fluffy cat tail in his hand and softly said, "Long time no see, my dear caretaker."

1. Lots of original worldbuilding. A hint of cosmic horror, plus my own take on a post-apocalyptic wasteland story. The world is not Earth, and this story is entirely fictional.

2. Both leads have alternate forms. They are not ordinary snakes and cats, and there are tentacles and other strange things.

3. Updates basically daily at midnight. If an update is delayed or I need to take a break, I'll post a notice.

4. Weibo: @JinjiangHewanglan. I like to go back and revise the story from time to time. Please support the official version. OuO
