Every Day Is a Battlefield After Our Secret Marriage

The Huo family, the richest family in Yancheng, plans to form an alliance through marriage with the Fu family. The Huos look down on the Fu family's adopted daughter and choose the illegitimate second son, Huo Shixu, for the marriage instead. Huo Shixu objects to the old man's arrangement. Fu Yao has heard that Huo Shixu is unruly, reckless, and impossible to control, so she hates the idea of marrying him too.

In the end, their families force them to marry online. Neither even looks at the other, and they don't exchange a single word. Once the paperwork is done, their elders immediately take away the marriage certificate and household registration books.

One turns around and goes for a drive, while the other goes to her room to paint.

Several months later, the two happen to run into each other at a party. Concealing their secret identities, they fall in love at first sight. They know they shouldn't, but they can't help being drawn to each other.

To prove his abilities, Huo Shixu secretly starts a company. Its performance keeps improving, and he gradually surpasses his father and elder brother. On the day the company goes public, Huo Shixu returns to the old family home.

"I'm sorry, old man, but I want a divorce."

At the same time, the Fu family's real daughter returns. Seeing how well Huo Shixu is doing, and that his prospects are far better than the Huo family's eldest son, the Fus plan to have Fu Yao step aside and let their biological daughter marry him instead.

Fu Yao: "That's fine. I don't want to deal with that thug anymore, either."

Both families decide to part on good terms. They arrange a banquet and bring the civil affairs office to the venue so the couple can divorce. The divorce papers have already been signed.

But once the two people at the heart of the matter sit down in front of the divorce registration counter and see each other's faces, time stands still.

Turning around, Huo Shixu says, "Old man, I think I can stick it out in this marriage a little longer."

Fu Yao: "Mom, I hear the second young master is cold and cruel. I'm afraid my sister will get hurt, so let me marry him instead."

That night, the two move into Huo Shixu's private villa and start living together.

They used to be so wild. Now they can't even look each other in the eye.

After finally settling into life as a devoted husband, the second young master, feared by others for his ruthlessness, becomes the loyal lackey of the Fu family's adopted daughter.
