I Adorn the Grand Princess with Flowers

After the emperor's death, his final decree appointed Princess Mingrui regent, to assist her young brother in ascending the throne. Li Mingrui worked tirelessly, managing countless affairs and sparing no effort. She commanded the Cabinet with one hand and the Eastern Depot with the other, keeping the affairs of state firmly in her grasp. The court officials treated the princess with the utmost respect and were thoroughly convinced by her. If there was one flaw, it was that she refused to marry.

As the Eastern Depot's chief eunuch, Lin Yu couldn't stand Li Siyou, the Cabinet's Grand Secretary. Every day, he used some matter of business as an excuse to enter Minghua Hall, where he would stay all day. Sometimes he would even pretend to be ill and play the victim, spending the night in a side chamber of Minghua Hall. Lin Yu saw right through Li Siyou's underhanded little schemes, and it made his teeth ache with anger.

Who was afraid of whom? He had grown up alongside the princess, after all. He arranged everything from her meals to her clothes and lodging, knew all her likes and dislikes by heart, and was the person she couldn't do without most. Lin Yu unfurled The Fox-Driving Handbook and listed every one of Li Siyou's crimes.

This is a story about two devoted loyalists competing for the princess's favor.
