A Trial Marriage with My Blind Date

As the eldest daughter of the Cheng family, one of the four great families of Beijing, Cheng Qiao has always been different. She's low-key and has little interest in material things. While her sisters go to fashion shows and take yacht trips, she diligently earns a master's degree in law, quietly joins a law firm, and gets to work on public-interest cases. After handling too many divorce cases, Cheng Qiao has become a bona fide marriage-phobe.

Jin Chen, heir to one of Beijing's most powerful families, is cool and distant, never smiles, and has a cold heart. He's a firm believer in staying single.

At a gathering of the wealthy, their elders bring Cheng Qiao and Jin Chen together.

Looking at the top client of her law firm, a man even the senior partners can't manage to flatter, Cheng Qiao's expression shifts slightly. "Don't worry, Mr. Jin. I'm afraid of marriage."

Jin Chen glances at the demure-looking woman before him, who actually dominates in court, and replies casually, "I don't marry."

Cheng Qiao relaxes. "Great. How about we put on an act?"

Jin Chen: "Works for me."

As they keep up the act, Cheng Qiao realizes this man is actually attentive and patient, not nearly as cold and heartless as the rumors say.

Jin Chen also realizes that this young woman is perceptive and decisive, and makes an excellent partner.

The two of them: If we keep this up, something's going to happen...

Finally, one day, they no longer have to pretend. Cheng Qiao takes a deep breath, decisively deletes him from WeChat, and wants nothing more to do with him.

Jin Chen sends her a message. A red notification appears, and his face darkens in an instant.

When a marriage-phobe meets a committed bachelor...
