[Ridiculous Comedy]
In a hugely popular occult game, there's a pitiful female side character who dies early. The plot is a wealthy family's switch-at-birth story, and she's the swapped child. She falls hopelessly in love with the crown prince, willingly becoming a stand-in for his beloved, the white moonlight, and a tragic foil, suffering both emotional and physical torment. Specifically:
1. The crown prince and his faction always ask her to team up for the exorcist missions assigned by the school. Supposedly, just looking at "that face" gets them fired up and fighting like mad, while she doesn't have to do a thing and can just sit in the back as a lucky charm. After all, no one could bear to let someone with a face like that get hurt, even a little.
The original girl, who died young: My heart hurts so much. No one cares about what I can do. I'm just her stand-in.
2. When the second-generation scion of a financial conglomerate or a top-tier star runs into supernatural trouble, they can't get an appointment with the white moonlight, so they like to ask her out for a casual meal instead. They just want to bask in the immortal aura of "that face" and feel reassured and comforted. They're generous with money, too, as if this is the only way they can show their respect for the white moonlight.
The original girl, who died young: I'm covered in injuries. No one sees how hard I try. We only solve these problems because we got some of her immortal aura.
Yan Mo woke up one day in the body of this poor girl. Well, look at that! She can hand in her homework just by standing still, and people give her a fortune for going out to eat. Being a stand-in comes with perks like this?
She glanced at the Player System she had with her. Every profession, from geomancy, medicine, fate-reading, and physiognomy to divination, was at Lv. 100. She promptly decided to hide her overpowered identity and obediently play the part of a pretty vase and stand-in!
Not long afterward, the white moonlight, having enjoyed enough of playing hard to get, finally agreed to make an appearance, only to discover things weren't quite as she'd imagined:
The wealthy family's crown prince (disdainful): You're in the wrong position. Move farther away and stop dragging the team down.
The financial conglomerate's second-generation scion (on the verge of a breakdown): Damn, that poor nobody's here again. By the time I had coffee with you, my family was almost bankrupt.
The top-tier star (skeptical): ... (My throat just hurt before. How did I lose my voice after basking in that immortal aura?)
