The No. 514 General Store

New danmei novel up for pre-order: Starry Year Teahouse. It's another story about a spirit guide. If you like it, please support it. Ling Hua'an has a pair of special eyes. He can't see the living, but he can see spirits clearly. He runs a little convenience store, earning money from the living on the surface, but his biggest source of income is solving the deaths of wronged souls and resentful ghosts, then helping them reincarnate. There's a saying in the underworld: "The shop is open, but if you don't have money, don't come in!" Jiang Chengyan is the captain of the criminal investigation team at the Yuncheng City Public Security Bureau. He's always busy and often works overtime. Most of the time, he has instant noodles from the convenience store next door for dinner. But whenever he goes there, he feels like the store is full of Yin energy. Still, he's a staunch atheist, so he walks in without a second thought. (Really, he just thinks the shopkeeper is easy on the eyes and has a good temper.) By chance, Ling Hua'an gets a major job. If he pulls it off, he'll never have to worry about food or clothes again. It's just a very tricky case, so naturally, Ling Hua'an sets his sights on Jiang Chengyan. Then Jiang Chengyan, the staunch atheist, has his worldview shattered and is completely won over... Bonus Scene: Ghost on duty: Boss, that idiot's back again. Jiang Chengyan: Boss, I'll take a pack of instant noodles. Ling Hua'an: Five yuan. Jiang Chengyan: Here, ten. Ghost on duty: It's fifty. Ling Hua'an calmly takes out five yuan and hands it to Jiang Chengyan. Jiang Chengyan: Thanks, boss. Ghost on duty: Boss, that idiot comes by every day to give you money. Do you think he's after something? Ling Hua'an: After something... Ling Hua'an is the seme and Jiang Chengyan is the uke. One-on-one, both virgins. Add it to your reading list if you like it! The first short story is introduced through the uke's perspective, so it has relatively more viewpoints. The later stories focus more on the seme's perspective. Please don't read if that bothers you. Blurb for Starry Year Teahouse: When Qiao Xingnian wakes up, he discovers that he's become a ghost. He hasn't lost all his memories, but he can't remember how he died. Qiao Xingnian resolves to uncover the truth, regain his memories, dispel his resentment, and earn the chance to reincarnate. Lin Nanyue is the captain of the criminal investigation team. Floating nearby, Qiao Xingnian gives an awkward smile and says, "Sorry, I couldn't help it." Lin Nanyue seethes with anger. "Couldn't help it, my ass! This is the third time!" Qiao Xingnian points to the red-clothed female ghost beside the bed, then to the lecherous ghost crouching in the corner. "This time, it wasn't just me..."
