[Dream of the Red Chamber] Lady Jia Has No Peace

After Lady Jia died and returned to the underworld, she saw the grim future awaiting her family: her descendants scattered and her younger generations left in misery. Remembering how prosperous her family had been when she was young, and how much her husband had trusted her when he entrusted the family estate to her, Lady Jia seethed with resentment, hating others and herself alike. After a century working in the underworld, she finally earned a chance to return to the human world and go back to the past. Charged with saving the Twelve Beauties, Lady Jia returned to the days just after her daughter had died. This time, she wouldn't wallow in grief. She would discipline her children and grandchildren, keep her daughters-in-law in line, reclaim control of the household with her healthy body, and clean up the entire estate. Then, armed with the intelligence she'd gained from a century of underworld work, she would set out to restore her family's prosperity. Her eldest grandson could still be saved. As for her two sons, one lecherous and the other hopelessly stuffy, they could go and give her more grandsons! A thriving population was the foundation of a prosperous family. Lady Jia wasn't about to retire in her old age. She worked hard every single day. *Once, I was foolish and easily deceived. Now, after experiencing the ways of the world and witnessing its bleakness and hardships, I've returned to the human world, undefeated in a hundred battles. Theme: Do what is loyal and kind, and reap happiness and glory.
