After I Flaked on the Dating Game

Hosoya Makoto is a voice actor for the real-time interactive dating game Dimensional Lovers. He's been voicing an SSR card for four years.

Four male players drew his card on the very first day the game launched and started "raising" him. They had virtual relationships with him for four years, right up until he graduated from college.

Hosoya Makoto: Having four online dating partners at once is kind of great.

Then he quit the job, citing a busy work schedule.

Suddenly, his neighbor changed, his coworkers changed, and even his live-in roommate changed. Nothing was the same anymore.

Hosoya Makoto: Oh no, the whole point of online dating around here is that you never meet in person, you guys.

The players:

A blackened, bandage-wrapped neighbor

A cotton-candy spirit of a neighbor who treats him like cotton candy and bites him

A cat-like roommate who believes chocolate is justice

A moonlit magician coworker who steals hearts in all sorts of ways

My upcoming novels:

This Family Can't Get By Without Me: A disastrous life in a blended family in Yokohama. My older and younger brothers both pretend to be me. I thought they were law-abiding and good, but they're all in high-risk professions. Raising brothers is worse than dating a sorcerer.

Everyone Helps Me Build a Shrine: A calamity god becomes Yokohama's beloved, and even gets a marriage proposal from a certain white-haired sorcerer. Yato: Get a grip, everyone! I'm really not a god of fortune!

They All Want to Carry Me: A Jujutsu High student who can't communicate, a sickly young man from the Armed Detective Agency wrapped in bandages, and me, forced to shoulder a long sword. In this escape game, someone is always asking me if I want to switch teammates.

Piecing Together a Boy Band: A Jujutsu High cursed-speech user, a violent escape-artist illusionist, a Yokohama Port Mafia member, an office worker at a seafood company, a slacking bandaged man from the Armed Detective Agency, a detective who can grow bigger or smaller, and a phantom thief with a bounty on his head. I've got the wildest boy band around!

If any of these sound interesting, please add them to your favorites on my author page. Kisses~
