She Held Me and Cried on the Day We Divorced

My next story will be A Fool's Confession.

Angsty melodrama, no switching partners

Ai Yichi fell in love with Shen Zhaoxia at eighteen. At twenty, she married her without a second thought. From then on, there was only one thing in her life: waiting eagerly for Shen Zhaoxia to come home every day.

Day after day, year after year.

When she turned twenty-five, all she got was a divorce agreement.

Ai Yichi clutched the paper, gritting her teeth. "Shen Zhaoxia, don't you dare regret this."

Shen Zhaoxia said, "Whoever regrets it is a dog."

Later, Shen Zhaoxia spent the rest of her life as Ai Yichi's dog.

Blurb:

There is an inconspicuous fool in Linyuan City. She seems dull-witted, and usually treats an outdated financial magazine like a treasure, pointing to the beautiful woman on its cover and telling everyone that she's her wife.

Everyone in Linyuan knows that woman: a self-made tycoon and rising star with countless businesses.

Everyone laughs at the fool and teases her. "Little fool, you say she's your wife, so why doesn't she come pick you up?"

The fool doesn't understand their mockery and laughs along happily. "She'll come. She'll come..."

No one takes her words seriously.

Who could have guessed that one day the beautiful woman on the magazine cover would really come? She crouches in front of the little fool and gently brushes her hair aside. "Wifey, I'm here to take you home."

But the little fool seems terrified and dodges away, curling up in a corner and crying. Stammering through her sobs, she says, "You're not my wife. You're a bad person. I don't want you."

The beautiful woman doesn't mind that she's dirty and smells awful. With a sigh, she pulls her into her arms, as if holding on to a priceless treasure.

The fool's eyes widen in terror. She trembles helplessly, biting her lip as tears stream down her face, but she doesn't even dare cry out loud.

Theme: Be an independent woman and bravely pursue the life that's yours.
