Buy an Immortal as a Slave

Yuan Heng was a low-ranking fairy. After descending to the mortal world to undergo a tribulation of love, she completed her heavenly merits and returned to the immortal realm, only to discover that her mortal lover was none other than Ziyang Shangxian, the man she had always loved but could never have.

Thinking of everything she'd done to Ziyang Shangxian in the mortal realm, Yuan Heng broke into a cold sweat. She changed her ways and avoided him at every turn.

But she never expected Ziyang Shangxian to come looking for her anyway.

He cornered Yuan Heng in her room. "Didn't you say that if you couldn't have my heart, you'd be happy just to have me?"

Yuan Heng trembled. "That doesn't count. Back then, I didn't know the slave in the manor was you, Shangxian..."

Ziyang frowned. "What about when you said you liked me?"

Yuan Heng: "Nonsense. I was talking nonsense."

Ziyang's gaze darkened. "But I took you seriously..."

As the beloved daughter of General Sun, who guarded the frontier, Miss Sun had been spoiled and willful since childhood, doing as she pleased. Later, she defied propriety by falling in love at first sight with a tall, handsome slave at a slave market.

Disregarding her status, she beat up the slave trader and forcibly bought the slave and took him home.

But the slave was cold and proud. No matter how much Miss Sun tried to please him with kindness, or how much hardship she endured, he refused to stay by her side.

It wasn't until the two countries went to war that Miss Sun learned the slave was a general from the enemy nation.

Miss Sun died longing for the slave. When she returned to the immortal ranks, she discovered that all of this had merely been a trial of love.

And that slave was Ziyang Shangxian, the man she loved but could never have in the heavenly realm.

Ziyang Shangxian was so aloof that even the Matchmaker couldn't find his red thread. Ever since returning from his tribulation, he had been plagued by one regret. In the mortal world, he had served the enemy nation as a slave for the sake of his country. He had to restrain his feelings at every turn, and his greatest regret was never telling that woman that he had fallen for her, that he loved her.

Now that he had returned, Ziyang Shangxian cast aside status and etiquette. She was the only thing he had ever wanted.
