A Fake Marriage and a Baby on the Way

Synopsis: Mu Youyan was blacklisted by her agency. Hoping to break out of her predicament, she spent all her savings to terminate her contract with her former company. But things still didn’t go as she’d hoped.

Just as Mu Youyan had run out of options, the president of Yihua Group appeared before her. The only way to resolve her current predicament was to sign this sham marriage contract.

Assistant Meng: “Miss Mu, please don’t worry. No one in the entertainment industry would dare expose anything about our president. The contract is for one year. After that, you’ll be single again.”

Mu Youyan: “I... I need some time to think.”

That night, Assistant Meng received a call from Mu Youyan.

Mu Youyan: “Assistant Meng, I’ve made up my mind. I agree to sign the contract, but I have one condition.”

Assistant Meng: “Please, go ahead, Miss Mu.”

Mu Youyan: “President Gu can’t force me to... fulfill my duties as a wife.”

A year later, Mu Youyan won Best Supporting Actress thanks to her outstanding acting. The next day, the media reported that she had given birth to a child out of wedlock.

“Yanyan, tell me the truth. Did you give birth to that child?” On the other end of the phone, her agent, Lou Hui, was as frantic as an ant on a hot pan.

“I did.” Mu Youyan admitted it openly.

“Who did you have the child with?” After a few seconds of silence, Lou Hui’s voice came through again, trembling.

“I had the baby all by myself.” Mu Youyan glanced at the sleeping baby and lied.
