Blurb: Thanks to an opportunity bought with money, Duan Jian finally gets her wish: she gets to act opposite Ji Cangluo, the award-winning actress she's had a crush on for four years, including a heart-pounding bedroom scene.

Outside the bathroom, Duan Jian's delicate face is flushed crimson. She eagerly offers Ji Cangluo some specially made bath oil, only to hear something strange slapping against the glass.

Curiosity gets the better of Duan Jian, and she quietly slides the bathroom door open. What she sees nearly scares her to death.

“A... a tail!” Duan Jian falls to the floor, her legs too weak to hold her up. Trembling, she points at Ji Cangluo, who has a human body and a fish tail in the bathtub.

The next second, she faints.

With difficulty, Ji Cangluo swishes her enormous sea-blue tail in the bathtub and frowns at Duan Jian, unconscious on the floor.

“I'm sorry, Miss Duan. I scared you.”

In recent years, members of the Jiaoren, a mysterious and powerful Eastern race, have been disappearing one after another without explanation. Later, their mutilated corpses are found deep among the reefs.

Determined to uncover the culprit, Ji Cangluo, king of the Jiaoren, goes undercover in the human world to investigate and vows to find the mastermind. Taking human form, Ji Cangluo gives herself a new identity: an actress.

But after spending too long away from the deep sea, Ji Cangluo's transformation period still hasn't arrived. She thought she would have to return to the South Sea to continue growing, never expecting that a woman named Duan Jian would tempt her into entering her transformation period.

Note: Before their transformation, Jiaoren are both male and female. They only decide whether to become female or male after meeting the mate they fall for.

Theme: Never give up in your youth. If you admire someone, say it out loud.
