After Divorcing My Scumbag Ex-Wife, I Got Together with Her Aunt

Blurb: I was reborn.

On the first day after my rebirth, I found myself lying in a hospital room with white walls on all sides. According to the course of events in my previous life, as soon as dawn broke, my legally wedded wife would take my kidney to save the man she loved but could never have.

I planned to flee in the middle of the night. I absolutely couldn't let the tragedy happen again.

But before I could escape the hospital, my soon-to-be ex-wife noticed I was missing. In a panic, I hid in a Bentley whose door happened to be unlocked.

A woman of breathtaking beauty, enough to stop your breath, looked at me from the back seat and asked if I needed help.

"Yes! I need your help. Please, take me away from here."

I was lucky enough to meet a kind and beautiful benefactor. She took me away from the hospital.

The mysterious woman's name was Gu Ruo, and she shared a surname with my soon-to-be ex-wife.

With Gu Ruo's help, I finally divorced my soon-to-be ex-wife. As her legal spouse, I got half her assets.

While the divorce was being finalized, I stayed at Gu Ruo's home. The day I got my divorce certificate, I kissed her on impulse while drunk.

When I sobered up, Gu Ruo told me it had been her first kiss and said I had to take responsibility for her. And just like that, Gu Ruo became my girlfriend.

When Gu Ruo took me home for the first time, I saw my ex-wife among her relatives!

My ex-wife was just as shocked as I was. When no one was looking, she dragged me behind a rockery, grabbed my arm, and snapped, "You, Leng Youyan!"

"Is this how you're getting back at me? You actually went after my own aunt!"

I stared at her in astonishment. "??"

I had only just learned about their relationship myself, but I acted calmer than my ex-wife. Of course, I was faking it.

"Let go!" I wrenched my arm from her grasp and scolded her. "Show me some respect. I'm your elder now."

Then I raised my left hand and waved it in front of my ex-wife. The huge diamond on my ring finger nearly blinded her.

"See that? Your aunt proposed to me."

I got to watch my ex-wife's face turn pale and then flush red. What I didn't see was Gu Ruo standing behind the rockery, looking at me with admiration.

Premise: A rebirth story.
