Qian Xiaoke, a Dating Genius

Also known as Love Con Artist Qian Xiaoke. Jiang Tongyan got entangled with a little drunk at a friend’s birthday party. The little drunk clung to him. “Nobody loves me or cares about me. I’m just a little cabbage growing in a field!” The next morning, the two woke up in the same bed. The little drunk: “You slept with me. I’m ruined now.” Jiang Tongyan: “I heard that when you’re really drunk, you can’t do that.” The little drunk: “I don’t care. You did that to me.” So Jiang Tongyan went ahead and did it to him. Afterward, Jiang Tongyan tried to take responsibility, but the other guy said, “No, no, let’s not.” Jiang Tongyan decided that this guy named Qian Xiaoke was a love con artist who’d tricked him into giving up his body and heart. Qian Xiaoke: “I’m only twenty, and now you’ve slept with me. I’m so pitiful.” Jiang Tongyan checked his ID. “You’re fucking twenty-seven! And you’re the one who asked me to sleep with you!” Qian Xiaoke: “I’m only twenty. I’ve loved a hundred people, but none of those hundred loved me back.” Jiang Tongyan: “Please, just shut up.” A fairly cheerful, unconventional story about friends with benefits becoming lovers. P.S. This is a silly, feel-good comedy, a brainless sweet romance whose only purpose is to make you happy. The protagonists’ thought processes are out of this world, which is why they’re so happy. Please don’t try to relate it to real life. I’m begging you. Bows deeply. My next story is Liang Duo Pretends to Sleep: a sweet romance about a doctor who runs a small clinic and a younger, wolfish seme. Stop by and add it to your reading list! Liang Duo is twenty-eight and runs a small clinic of his own. Every day, he browses the internet and drinks tea, only getting busy when a patient comes in. He’s sweet and kind, and the clinic is covered in thank-you banners. He smiles warmly at everyone, so people assume he must be easy to pursue. Little do they know that Liang Duo lives by the motto: Don’t love me, it won’t end well. He’s a committed bachelor who enjoys living alone. But Jiang Han’s arrival teaches him one thing: nothing in this world is truly “absolute.” Jiang Han is twenty-three and considers himself a sunny, handsome guy. He gets a shot at the little clinic across from his school, falls head over heels, and falls in love with the young doctor at first sight. Unfortunately, the doctor is unmoved, so Jiang Han has no choice but to wear him down. He thinks Liang Duo actually likes him, but is just too stubborn to admit it. Jiang Han: “Now I understand why people say you can never wake someone who’s pretending to sleep.” Liang Duo: “Sorry, I’m not pretending to sleep. I really am asleep. Don’t believe me? Listen, I’m even snoring!” Theme: What does it really mean to be a genius at romance?
