Why Don't You Act Cute First?

Gu Chengxi hated He Yiming.

She hated how neatly he wore his school uniform, yet looked at her with a gaze full of ambiguous desire.

She hated even more how, after dropping his mask and viciously beating up the thugs who had been bothering her, he cornered her against a wall with his face covered in bruises and gently threatened her not to date before she was old enough.

So Gu Chengxi took every opportunity to make pointed remarks, provoke him, and even put seven-spotted ladybugs in his desk.

He Yiming was unfazed.

Later, Gu Chengxi's scheme backfired, and she had no choice but to show up at his door in a fit of frustration and ask for help.

A few faint traces of amusement appeared in the usually placid eyes of the young man. Leaning casually against the desk, he looked at her and said, “First, give me a little pout.”
