I Turned Into the Big Shot's Little Dragon Egg

Luo An was reborn, but something seemed to have gone wrong with the way he came back. All he could see was a dark little room, and his body felt strange… He felt the top of his head and found a pair of little horns. Reaching behind himself, he discovered a tail, too. Luo An, who was probably reborn as something other than a human, took a deep breath. “Is anybody there?” “Rawr, rawr, rawr!” “…?” What kind of obscure alien language is this supposed to be? To figure out what was going on, Luo An tried to smash his way out of the little dark room. Luckily, although it looked dark, the walls were thin and flimsy. One kick made them shake. But before he could celebrate, he spotted a group of giants sitting together through a narrow crack… Then, with a sharp snap, the crack was shut from the outside. Luo An: “… ” I must have opened it the wrong way. - On the surface, Xie Shiyin was a corporate tycoon. But everyone around him knew that this tycoon was actually… an egg fanatic. Because the big boss raised an egg the size of his palm, carrying it wherever he went. Its basket was woven from the freshest young bamboo, and even the soft cushion inside was specially made for it. But as time went by, people began to realize that there was something off about how the egg was treated better than they were. This egg didn’t look like it was ever going to hatch… Xie Shiyin knew the truth. It wasn’t an ordinary egg. It was a dragon egg, his dragon companion assigned to him by the dragon lair. Dragon eggs were notoriously slow to hatch. It could take as little as three years or as long as three hundred. Xie Shiyin waited and hoped every day. To help the dragon egg wake up sooner, he even started taking it on trips around the human world. But though he had risen from a merchant to a CEO, his little dragon egg still showed no signs of life. - No one else knew that this was the big boss’s egg with an unbelievably long incubation period. They thought Xie Shiyin was just stubbornly refusing to give up. Then, one day at a meeting, the egg that the boss had carried around for years wobbled. A visible crack appeared in its white shell. Everyone’s eyes widened. This rock-hard egg really could hatch?! Xie Shiyin, seated at the head of the table, quickly held down the egg as it began to stir. Wearing an expressionless face, he asked just one question: “How many years has it been since the founding of the country?” “Th-three hundred years and one… one day?” [Bonus Scene] Luo An never expected that after getting a second chance at life, he really wouldn’t be human. But at least he had a powerful, equally nonhuman backer. That big shot, Xie Shiyin, loved to read, and his favorite books were Raising and Teaching Dragonlings and A Guide to Everyday Dragonkin Fashion. Luo An was deeply reassured. He knew he’d picked the right person to cling to. But as he grew at an astonishing rate, Luo An noticed that Xie Shiyin’s reading choices had changed… Now he was reading The Professional Qualities of a Good Dragon Gong, One Hundred Questions About Life as a Dragon Couple, and even one called The Metamorphosis of Love: From Dragon Egg to Mate. Luo An: “… ” Is it too late to crawl back into my shell? Asking online. It’s urgent. [Please note:] 1. Dragonkin aren’t human, and their growth cycle is highly unpredictable.
