The Evil Dragon Always Thinks He's Captured a Princess [Western Fantasy]

[If you like Western Fantasy, check out the upcoming story "The Pea Prince [Western Fantasy]" in my profile!]

On turning eighteen, the merfolk prince Ariel came ashore for the first time, only to be snatched up by a clueless dragon.

The dragon loved his pale golden hair and was always kissing his deep blue eyes, gazing at him with the adoration one might show a treasure.

But Ariel didn't like it, because--

"I'm a prince, you fishhead! A merfolk prince!!"

--

When the dragon heard that his fated mate was a merfolk, he refused to believe it.

He declared, "I'd rather die out there, or jump from Sky City, than be with that merfolk."

He captured the most beautiful princess and went with her to the Demon Realm to register their marriage.

Then one day, someone told him that the princess he had captured was a merfolk prince.

Dragon: There's no way I'm breaking up with him. Dragons can eat their words too, you know?

[Content warning: In Chapter 6, the dragon and Ariel enter into a contract, specifically a master-servant contract. However, the dragon has no intention of using it to establish an unequal relationship with Ariel, and he never tells Ariel that the contract is a master-servant one.]

Many thanks to the artist miracle_qiji from Huaba for the cover character design~~

Ariel is so beautiful

Please check out my upcoming story "Little Classmate" too~

If time could turn back, Wen Qian might choose not to agree to let his younger brother Wen Fan visit his home.

Then perhaps he wouldn't have met Jian Hexu.

Wen Qian doesn't want his illness to be exposed, doesn't want Jian Hexu to look after him, and especially doesn't want Jian Hexu to grow tired of him.

If he had to name his biggest mistake,

Wen Qian thinks it was falling for his little classmate, Jian Hexu.

Jian Hexu is gentle and considerate. Jian Hexu is kind and warmhearted.

To Wen Qian, Jian Hexu is the sun in winter, the only warmth in his world.

But he doesn't want Jian Hexu's sympathy or pity, so he chooses to leave.

--

Jian Hexu spends five whole years searching for Wen Qian.

He doesn't understand why, after giving his whole heart to love Wen Qian, who has been hurt so badly, Wen Qian would still choose to leave him.

Is he nothing more to Wen Qian than a little toy to pass the time?

Both are each other's first and only. Bottom is the POV lead. Serious tone.

No content warnings. The author thinks there's nothing in this story that needs a warning.

Theme: The road ahead is hard, but we must bravely overcome difficulties, endure hardship, and stand by our principles!
