[Detective Conan] The Scorpion Palace

[Important] [Important] [Important] Please read the content warnings carefully before reading! Miyano Takumi. The eldest son of the Miyano family, the older brother of genius scientist Shiho Miyano, an outstanding operative in the Organization, and Gin's "little sweetheart." There's nothing wrong with him, except that he can't drive. He even hit a man named Dai Moroboshi and gave him amnesia, then ended up giving himself to him as well. As a result, Vodka, who had been driving professionally for twenty years without a single accident, mocked him for years. "I'm never driving again. Can you tell Rum to let me get a driver too? He doesn't have to be as tall or as strong as him. Anyone will do. I'm not picky." Mr. Miyano draped an arm over Gin's shoulder and pointed at Vodka, who was drinking vodka nearby. And so, Miyano Takumi's boyfriend, Dai Moroboshi, got the job. Then the Organization found out their driver was an undercover agent and decided to target Takumi. Shuichi Akai (Dai Moroboshi): "The FBI will protect you." Miyano Takumi: "The FBI, or you?" The Silver Bullet hesitated, then decided to tell the truth. "Me." And yet, in the end, Mr. Miyano still died. And until the day he died, he loved the scumbag who had "deceived" him about his feelings. #He always believed Shuichi Akai didn't really love him# #But the clueless tough guy had fallen for him long ago# Notes: 1. Like *What If the Toyama Family Had a Boy?*, this is a gender-swapped parallel-universe story. Miyano Takumi takes Akemi Miyano's place as the eldest son of the Miyano family. I won't write a story where a female character is simply called a man, so Takumi and Akemi are completely different people. Please set the original story aside before reading. 2. The characters' personalities and experiences have changed along with their genders, so fans of Shuichi and Akemi should steer clear. Shuichi and Akemi fans, steer clear. I'm saying it three times because it's important. 3. The pairing is Shuichi Akai, and they're definitely both strong characters. 4. Slow burn, with angst, sweetness, and comedy. 5. I'm writing a story about two adults burdened by hatred and responsibility, so it won't be a fluffy, innocent romance. If that bothers you, please steer clear. Spare me, and spare yourself. 6. I write without an outline, and the plot goes wherever it wants. Any settings that conflict with the original are my own changes. Some parts are completely made up, so please don't come after me over canon details. 7. I'm an evil stepmother who loves causing trouble. There are dark scenes and toxic inspirational speeches. If you can't handle that, just close the page. 8. There are so many pairings in Detective Conan, so please don't start fights or cause trouble if you ship different couples. 9. Favorites and comments are welcome. Your support motivates me to keep writing! 10. Japanese law allows cousins to date and marry. If I followed the original relationships, it would be fine in the Japanese setting, just as cousins can date in historical Chinese fiction. But! Yes, here's the but! To avoid unnecessary trouble, I've changed the relationships between characters. Elena and Mary are distant cousins. They're so distantly related that they don't count as close relatives. So there's no incest involved, however you look at it. (shrugs) P.S. Thanks to my groupmates @Xie and I for discussing the plot together! I really appreciate it! Finally, I often see people asking whether this story has a happy or bad ending. I can't answer that, because I don't want to spoil anything. For example, if someone posted a comment telling you XXX was the killer while you were following Detective Conan, wouldn't you want to beat up the person who spoiled it? So if you're thinking of reading this, make sure you're prepared. This story could have a happy ending or a bad ending. If you really can't accept a story without a happy-ending or bad-ending tag, I recommend stopping here. Theme: A wish-fulfillment novel has no theme
