[Detective Conan] What If the Toyama Family Had a Boy?

[Important] [Important] [Important] Please read the blurb carefully before starting, to avoid anything you don't like! I'm Rinya Toyama, the son of Ginshiro Toyama. I have a childhood friend so dark he disappears if you toss him outside at night. His name is Heiji Hattori. I'm not interested in solving mysteries, but every time I go out with Heiji, we run into some kind of case... So let me issue a serious warning: If you spot Heiji Hattori or Shinichi Kudo in a crowd on the street, don't doubt it. The culprit may be right next to you. So... anyone want to buy one of my good-luck charms? Huh, why did the screen suddenly go black...? Hey! Heiji! Are you blocking the camera again? Don't be fooled by the apparently cheerful blurb above. It gets angsty right from the start (angst first, then sweetness, with some silly humor in between). If that's not your thing, please click away. In short, this is the story of the Toyama family's only child stumbling and struggling along the path to adulthood (and then falling in love with his childhood friend)... Note: 1. Changing the character's gender also changes their personality and experiences. (If only the gender changed and everything else stayed the same, there'd be no reason to write this as a romance.) So fans of Heiji and Kazuha, please take note. Fans of Heiji and Kazuha, please take note. Fans of Heiji and Kazuha, please take note. I'm saying it three times because it's important. 2. The pairing is Heiji Hattori. 3. Coming-of-age, slow burn, happy ending. 4. I'm an evil stepmother who loves stirring things up. There is angst, both physical and emotional, and dark content. If you can't handle that, please click away. 5. I don't plan my stories, so the plot goes wherever it wants. Some parts conflict with the original, and some are things I've made up to serve the story. Canon sticklers, please go easy on me. 6. There are lots of pairings in Detective Conan, so please don't start fights in the comments over your favorite pairings. Other than the couple in this story, there are no other male-male pairings. 7. Favorites and comments are welcome. Your support is what keeps me writing! 8. Let me emphasize again: there is physical and emotional angst, as well as dark content. If you're sensitive, or can't handle the protagonist suffering, please don't read. To quote something I saw on Weibo: I warned you so many times, so if you still go off to meet your maker after getting struck by lightning, can you really blame me? Theme: Childhood sweethearts
