[Classic Literature Crossover] To Victoria

Listen:

The deafening roar of steam engines, violins in the night, chapters of blood and wine.

Look:

Land shrouded in blood, evil spirits surging like waves.

Daylight fades, and the sun sets again and again.

As a shameless mashup with a background setting akin to a Witcher and a world inspired by Bloodborne, Catherine has neither the noble virtue of saving the world nor a pension and benefits to look forward to. She also has to stay on guard against certain unknown people swooping in to mete out justice.

For now, the only thing keeping her in the demon-hunting business is that solving cases and counting stacks of cash is genuinely fun (not really).

Holmes No. 1: [Keeps making sounds deeply unfriendly to terrifying upright apes.]

Holmes No. 2: [Keeps making sounds that infuriate terrifying upright apes.]

Catherine: ...I'll smash those two idiots' heads in sooner or later :)

P.S.:

1. Original protagonist, pairing undecided. The heroine is an extremely assertive Valkyrie type.

2. A heavily reworked Victorian steampunk setting with almost no barrier to entry. It includes difference engines, Bloodborne, the □□ Foundation, Cthulhu, and other elements (just elements, mind you), plus lots of silly memes. The author isn't exactly respectable, so say a few weird little catchphrases and come with me into the legendary Cthulhu funhouse.

3. There will be prosthetic limbs, steam-powered mecha, and external armor. Low-magic setting. Feel free to point out mistakes, but don't pick fights. This is a rare fandom story written purely for love, and I've worked hard researching it. If it's not for you, just click the X. And finally, instead of asking for updates, tell me you love me.
