[The Husband-Chasing Crematorium / Mutual Pining]
The Prince of Kang's heir was a paragon of grace and beauty, aloof and otherworldly, the dream man of every noble young lady in the capital.
Yan Ning thought so at first, too. She considered herself lucky beyond measure to become his wife. Even after their marriage, when he devoted himself to power and never showed her an ounce of tenderness, she assumed it was because he cared for the world and was above romantic attachments.
Only when the heir had secured absolute power and joyfully married her half-sister, who looked six-tenths like her, did Yan Ning finally understand.
It wasn't that he didn't know how to love. He simply didn't love her. She had spent half her life scheming, only to become another woman's substitute. On the day of their wedding, her heart turned to ash. Dressed in plain white, she leapt from the city wall.
*
When Yan Ning opened her eyes again, she was back on her wedding day.
She heard that the heir was on his way to fetch his bride. She tore off her wedding dress. "I'm not going through with this marriage."
Seeing the wedding about to fall apart, her half-sister hurriedly tried to persuade her. "Sister, if you won't marry the heir, who else could you marry?"
Yan Ning turned to the modest gentleman walking alongside her brother and smiled sweetly. "Your Highness the Crown Prince, they say no one would be willing to marry me. Would you marry me?"
Everyone in the capital knew that the Crown Prince was never interested in women. The crowd gasped, assuming she'd lost her senses.
To their surprise, a glimmer seemed to flash in the man's eyes. In a hoarse voice, he said, "Yes."
*
After Yan Ning died, her soul lingered by the city wall for a long time.
She saw the man who ruled the empire clutching her corpse, his eyes red.
Later, he had the entire heir's residence buried with her. They say a torrential rain washed the blood into a river.
[Extra Scene]
No one knew that the always cold and expressionless Crown Prince had kept someone in his heart all along.
When he heard she was to be married, he swallowed his heartache and went to see her one last time.
Unexpectedly, the young woman smiled brightly at him and asked if he would marry her.
Heaven knows how long he had been waiting for that moment.
Reader's Guide:
1. The male lead and the rival both love the heroine. The male lead's secret crush comes true, while the rival chases his wife to the crematorium, the kind where his bones are ground to dust.
2. One-on-one romance, sweet and fluffy. The romance takes center stage in the middle and latter parts.
3. The heroine takes the initiative and delivers face-slapping payback. A satisfying power fantasy.

[The Husband-Chasing Crematorium / Ground to Dust]
In the second year of Zhenyuan, the deposed empress Jiang Chenyu was burned to death in the Cold Palace. In life, she suffered from hunger and cold and endured endless torment.
In her youth, she had been born to a life of privilege. Her father was a hereditary marquis, her mother a Grand Princess, and she was so beautiful she could topple kingdoms. She was the perfect candidate for crown princess.
Unfortunately, she fell for the wrong man and chose Fu Yanzhi, Prince of Yongjia, whose birth mother was unknown and who had never been favored.
No one could have imagined that the seemingly gentle and mild-mannered Prince of Yongjia would be so calculating and ruthless. With the Jiang family's support, he climbed step by step to the throne.
The world praised Chenyu for her good judgment.
But only Chenyu knew that ten years of painstaking effort and wholehearted support had earned her his respect, but not his love.
She loved him, so she simply told herself he was cold by nature and bore every indignity in silence.
*
But once he had secured his reign, he deposed her as empress and brought his beloved white moonlight into the palace to take her place.
Only then did Chenyu realize that it wasn't that he didn't know how to love. He simply didn't love her.
She looked into his cold eyes and gave a bitter, piercing laugh.
It turned out that ten years of companionship and devotion from the legitimate daughter of the Jiang family had only benefited someone else.
That night, a fire consumed the Pepper Chamber Palace, swallowing all her resentment and hatred.
*
After a deep sleep, Chenyu returned to ten years earlier.
In the great hall, the emperor smiled and asked her, "Chenyu, have you made up your mind?"
Chenyu let her contemptuous gaze pass over Fu Yanzhi's face without stopping.
She reached out and pointed to the wolfish, vicious-looking man beside Fu Yanzhi, who had just been punished. "I want to marry him."
[Extra Scene]
The Shangyuan Lantern Festival was the day Chenyu publicly became engaged to him.
Fu Yanzhi didn't care. It was only a matter of doing it all over again. She would still marry him without hesitation, and ten years later he would still ascend the throne. This time, he simply wouldn't lose her.
It wasn't until Chenyu spoke the name of the man beside him that he suddenly realized she was no longer the young girl whose heart and eyes held only him.
He called out with a tremor in his voice: "Chenyu?"
The man beside her frowned slightly and discreetly blocked his view. The possessiveness in his eyes was unmistakable. "Imperial brother, take a good look. This is your sister-in-law."
#No one knows how long he waited for her. This time, he will never let go again#
Reader's Guide:

With a long journey ahead and hoping to reach the capital safely, Lingge finds herself a powerful patron and persuades him to take her back to the city.
Once there, she immediately slips away to her grandfather's home to avoid exposing her identity.
[The Male Lead's Version]
Lu Tingzhi, Commander of the Embroidered Uniform Guard, is sinister and ruthless. Everyone in the capital trembles at the mention of him, calling him the living King of Hell.
When he hears that something has happened at his aunt's home, his grandfather orders him to fetch his young cousin, whom he has never met. Instead, he fails to find his cousin and falls into a woman's trap.
She is alluring and delicate, and with just one glance, she steals his heart.
She says, "I will belong to you for the rest of my life, my lord."
His heart softens. He plans to take her to meet his parents as soon as they reach the capital, then make her his wife.
Who would have thought she'd trick him and run away?
No matter. There's no one in this world he can't find.
[Extra Scene]
Not long after Lingge moves into her grandfather's home, the cousin she's never met returns.
Her aunt takes Lingge's hand and reassures her. "Your cousin may not be much for conversation, but he cares for you more than anyone. Don't be afraid."
Lingge nods, but the moment she steps inside, she freezes.
"Lingge, say hello."
Her aunt assumes she's nervous and teases him. "Tingzhi, look at how scared you've made Lingge!"
Lu Tingzhi walks over, her reflection in his fathomless eyes. "Cousin, it's been a long time."
Reader's Guide:
1. Sweet, innocent beauty heroine VS scheming, unhinged male lead. One-on-one romance.
2. A sweet, doting romance with a coercive courtship.
Theme: What you want is something only you can give yourself.
General Huo is upset. Alas
It's very interesting, but are there any extras about Huaihe?
It's a really confusing and incomprehensible work. I patiently read the whole book and found out that the male protagonist's character is more attractive and surprising. The rest of the writing is hard to explain in one sentence... Some plots feel very abrupt and inexplicable...
I really like it. Huo Fengzhi, a young man in bright clothes and an angry horse, you deserve the best.
The scumbag died too easily
Wuwuwu, madam, school is about to start. Please wait for me to come back. I wish my new article a hit in advance~
The next one will be updated soon!
I think I can accept the heroine's daughter and the young general
Is it really hard not to love General Huo?
The ending is so beautiful. I love it so much.
