[Fake Eunuch] [Loyal Dog] [Chasing His Wife to the Crematorium] [Revenge and Wish Fulfillment]
In her previous life, she was a delicate princess with no one to rely on, while he was the all-powerful Nine-Thousand-Year-Old.
For the sake of her younger brother's claim to the throne, she gave herself to him and endured endless humiliation.
She thought that once her brother had secured his position, she would hang herself and be done with it.
But before that day came, her dear younger brother had her killed.
Half-conscious, she seemed to hear him, eyes red with rage: "You only sat on the throne for a day because she was alive. Now that she's gone, I'll drag the whole world down to hell with me!"
When she opened her eyes again, she was still the peerless and noble Princess Anping, and he was still an obscure, frail young man.
For her, it seemed there was still time to change everything.
For him, this was simply a chance to walk the same road again. Even if it led through the depths of hell, he would face it. This time, he would protect the girl in his arms.
He just hadn't expected that this time, he would enter her bedchamber instead of the silkworm chamber.
[Extra Scene]
Before the coronation, the feared Nine-Thousand-Year-Old personally bathed and dressed the woman who would become empress.
Standing before a full-length bronze mirror, he held her by the waist and lowered his eyes to kiss her shoulder. His voice was deep as he asked, "Your Highness, have you finally gotten your wish this time?"
She turned and kissed him on the lips, eyes brimming with affection. "Likewise."
A tremor passed through his eyes, then he smiled in relief.
This time, at last, she had chosen him willingly.
#Everyone thought he was content to kneel at the empress's feet, but they didn't know that behind closed doors, he was the one who ruled her heart and soul.#

[Brooding, Unhinged Emperor VS Easygoing, Straightforward Beauty]
#Your Majesty, Call Me Aunt# #You Can Keep Up the Act, I'll Just Flip the Table# #He Chases, She Runs, Then She Breaks His Wings#
The worst thing in the world is for your lover to fall out of love while searching for you.
By that measure, modern college student Yin Xiu got spectacularly unlucky.
She and her childhood sweetheart, Liu Yun, transmigrated to the end of the Western Han dynasty. By a twist of fate, Liu Yun killed the chosen one and promptly declared himself emperor, while Yin Xiu was forced to become empress, mother of the empire.
She thought he had made her empress because he loved her. But she was nothing more than a pawn he used to balance the court.
She thought he loved the empire more than he loved beauty. But it turned out he simply didn't love her.
He said, "As long as you behave, you'll always be empress." But he couldn't give her authority over the inner palace, and he couldn't summon her to his bedchamber, either. Because the other woman was insecure, because she got jealous.
Yin Xiu wanted to tell him she didn't even want to be empress that badly.
But when she thought of staying by his side, the words stuck in her throat.
*
Later, Yin Xiu discovered that according to the history books, Liu Yun's empress didn't live more than three years.
So he couldn't bear to make the woman he loved empress.
So was she about to die? Could somebody speak up for her already?
Yin Xiu: Whoever wants this thankless job can be empress. I'm! Getting! Out!
*
Three years later, lanterns blazed at a palace banquet.
Yin Xiu, now the newlywed wife of Prince Duan, stood smiling with a cup in her hand, leaving the entire hall speechless.
Liu Yun gripped her wrist, his voice hoarse with anguish. "You're still alive..."
The imperial uncle at her side, a man whose power eclipsed the court, smiled and stopped him. "Your Majesty, etiquette dictates that you address her as Aunt."
The whole hall fell silent. Only Yin Xiu smiled, her eyes curving as she slipped her hand free and asked innocently, "When you meet an elder for the first time, shouldn't you kneel and bow, Your Majesty?"
[Extra Scene]
They say that after Empress Yin died, the emperor was so grief-stricken he suspended court for three days.
Yin Xiu herself watched with her legs crossed, munching on melon seeds in amazement. "Liu Yun's acting is incredible. If he doesn't win an Oscar, the whole entertainment industry can shut down."
The chancellor asked in a low voice, "Aren't you afraid His Majesty has really gone mad?"
Yin Xiu cracked a seed and smiled, red lips curving. "Let him go mad. I'll get a new husband and enjoy being a widow. When he dies, I can inherit his estate. :)"
Chancellor (quietly): So, would you consider swapping husbands for me?
▼Reading Guide▼
1. The heroine is an unparalleled beauty, naturally flirtatious, clear-headed, and never prone to overthinking. All she wants is to flip the table and live a satisfying life. P.S. The male lead and the other male characters all love her so much!
2. The male lead is a total jerk at first, then gets chased to the crematorium until he's reduced to ashes. But the heroine might just get a new husband instead (?).
3. Whether this is a happy or tragic ending depends on just how miserable the male lead can get (just kidding).
4. Set in an alternate Eastern Han dynasty. The leads are loosely inspired by Liu Xiu and Yin Lihua, but the main plot is entirely made up by the author.
Theme: Love can bridge every divide.
With what you said, no wonder you and Green Tea Girl were a couple in your previous life
This plot feels like it's running very fast.
This Pei Xuan is really disgusting to me. When will he be punished? .
I really admire the person named Pei. Whatever the heroine wants to do, he will block the way intentionally or unintentionally. I think the queen can be offline together with Concubine Xie, otherwise the princess will be blind and reborn at the age of nine thousand years. By the way, how did the person named Pei die in the previous life? Instead of swearing to have his ministers there, the emperor to whom he was sincere was strangled to death.
Why can the concubine still dance for so long when the three of them are reborn? 💔 I feel so irritable.
... Never thought of hurting the heroine??? Excuse me?? Let me ask you, were you not involved in the poisoning of the heroine in the previous life??? Aren't you watching helplessly? Do you mean you haven't thought about it? Your tea art is superb. Why does the heroine have to be with you, the person who watched her being poisoned to death in her previous life???
I have a question. When did the male protagonist get reborn? At the beginning.
Oh, several of the main characters know that the other person is reborn, but they still think that the person named Pei is very green tea. Why, do you think that you hurt someone and poisoned him to death in your previous life, and you can make up for it by acting affectionately in this life?? Dreaming, didn't you want to kill the sycophant in your previous life? Have you killed him?
So what did the Pei family do in Maple Leaf Forest??? Then... Is this person named Pei hypocritical?? In my previous life, I felt sorry for the heroine, and then I saw her being poisoned to death. Oh, let's give this love to the green tea girl. The heroine can't bear it.
Thank you to heaven, thank you to earth, thank you for your hard work~
