Next book: the goofy suspense romance Don't Mess with the Little Cat. The new story is underway; check my author page~
Blurb:
Luo Ying lost her job because of a murder case.
After a long struggle, the unemployed office worker finally finds a well-paid new job. The only problem is that nobody at this new company, from the boss to the employees, seems remotely reliable.
The unreliable new company has no legitimate business at all, just four useless idlers:
Huo Chi, a rich second-generation heir with nothing to do but lounge around at home. Special skill: [Money Talks].
Gu Qian, a former surgeon whose medical license was revoked. Special skill: [All-Purpose Doctor].
Li Chao, a discharged soldier with severe social anxiety. Special skill: [Can Really Fight].
Fu You, a sugar-obsessed high school dropout with a cringey teenage streak. Special skill: [Information Network].
The four-man team: Hello, we're the whole lot of us, good-for-nothings! (Not really!)
Luo Ying: Wait, shouldn't Big Chi Detective Agency at least have a detective? And none of your skills fit the job. So who's the detective?
The four of them smile at her in unison: You!
Luo Ying: ...
Luo Ying: Tsk. That'll cost extra!
Every mystery has a reason behind it. Clear away the fog and eliminate every unreasonable theory, and the truth will always remain.
Strip away every disguise and concealment, and you can always glimpse a sincere heart.
A suspenseful anthology, mainly classic detective mysteries (sort of), along with the detective agency's everyday antics. This is not a police procedural. I'll try to update daily, probably at 9 p.m.
Note:
The biggest difference between detective fiction and police procedurals is that the culprit is always among the characters who appear in the story. Investigations don't rely much on modern forensic techniques such as reviewing surveillance footage, canvassing, or psychological profiling. Instead, they focus on reasoning from clues, with greater emphasis on logic, tricks, and character relationships. So the plots tend to be a little more melodramatic.
P.S. This story is set in an alternate world. Detective work is legal, but it won't interfere with police investigations or normal judicial procedures.
The reasons behind the detective agency's founding and the heroine's identity and background will gradually be revealed later.
Next book: the goofy suspense romance Don't Mess with the Little Cat [Female Omega, Male Alpha]
A fierce black-footed cat female Omega + X + a seemingly fearsome but actually goofy Northeast tiger male Alpha. If you're interested, please add it to your favorites!
Blurb:
*The black-footed cat is one of the smallest feline species in the world. It looks tiny and adorable, but is actually a ferocious hunter.
When Xiao Rong took the stage as the freshman representative of the criminal investigation program at the Alliance Police Academy, everyone was stunned.
A female Omega? A small feline? In criminal investigations?
Are you kidding me?
In an era when species live in harmony and the six ABO genders are becoming increasingly equal, if there is still a place where gender and species discrimination exist, it would probably be the military academy, or the police academy.
At the start of the school year, the entire Alliance Police Academy asked: Little kitty, did you take a wrong turn?
Later, after seeing Xiao Rong's brilliant mind, outstanding physical abilities, and superb hunting skills...
The entire police academy: Don't mess with the little cat!
Fu Zhao was born into a privileged family and gifted with exceptional talent. He never imagined that, after starting college, a little cat Omega would outdo him at every turn.
Fu Zhao: Come on, I'm an S-rank Northeast tiger Alpha! How could I lose to a little cat? What kind of joke is this?
Fu Zhao: I hate Omegas. Alphas who let their biological instincts control them are so lame! We police academy students have professional training. No pheromones can affect us! (#Unless we can't help it#...)
Later...
Fu Zhao: Boss, take me with you!
Fu Zhao: Wife, cuddle with me! (#I really can't help it#!)
Theme: Unravel the clues and seek the truth.
It's good to read. This seems to be the first detective-type book I read in Jinjiang. Come on, big brother. See you in the next book.
I don't believe in any simulation, it will definitely kill people, poor Howard, I'm afraid he has already sent it. It is currently suspected that there is something wrong with the bearded chef. This appearance can be easily disguised.
Ahhhhh! That's why I can't stand the yandere male protagonist! Antisocial personality is so scary!
Finally the chase is over and the flowers are over! Da Da's work has simply fulfilled my dream of being a detective. This kind of writing style and imagination really shouldn't be so popular. Unfortunately, the subject matter is a bit unpopular. I think Da Da is particularly suitable for writing Infinite Flow. I wonder if I will be able to see Infinite Flow written in large letters in my lifetime.
Ah! Finished chasing! Nice!
Is Don't Mess with the Kitten about to open? Hehe
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so pretty
Great! The emotional scenes with Grasshopper are getting better and better the more you write them!
Fast forward to the wedding!!!!
