Doomsday Movie City

Story blurb:

Ling Xiaoyao, a minor actress with barely any name recognition, arrives at Qishan Film and Television City to take on her first leading role. She thinks it will be a turning point in her career, but who would have guessed the world itself was about to take a shocking turn?

Line up, sit down, and enjoy your fruit: the film city is crawling with zombies.

The rowdy students in the Republican-era set suddenly turn into zombies. What's going on?

The ladies obsessed with palace intrigue in the Ming and Qing palace sets suddenly start biting people. Is that really okay?

Ling Xiaoyao never expected that, while fleeing from one area of the film city to another, she'd also have to bluff her way past zombies to win a chance to survive.

Even less did she expect to have to struggle for survival alongside a young master and a few friends.

Ling Xiaoyao: I'm exhausted. I want to kneel.

Qi Xiao: What are you, a coward? Obviously, you have to charge straight in!

Ling Xiaoyao: Why don't you try it?

Qi Xiao: I'm not worthy...

A silly zombie story, set in a small area in the real world. Mostly about the daily lives of a small group, with a mix of escaping, fighting monsters, and romance.

A sweet older-woman-younger-man romance. The leads are always bickering.

The male lead is a little reckless, but not truly foolhardy. The female lead is sensible but playful.

Warnings:

No one has special abilities! Since no one has powers, the zombies are relatively weak too, and there are no zombie kings or anything like that.

The tone is silly, with a lot of everyday life and plenty of original worldbuilding.

Everyone will improve through fighting, but no one will reach the point of dominating heaven and earth, and they won't save the world. They're all ordinary people overall.

P.S. Zombies retain a few memories from when they were alive, so they may repeat certain behaviors, but their instincts take over before long.

Zombies: I love my old personality, but I love biting people more.
