[Close Your Eyes When He Comes] A Rose Hidden Deep

You are in my heart, a rose hidden deep within.

Li Xunran is a righteous police officer. Xie Han is a flower-devouring ogre with blood on his hands.

A carefully planned approach, and a refined, scholarly Professor Xie.

A love full of schemes...

Fanfiction for the TV series When He Comes, Close Your Eyes, Xie Han x Li Xunran

I've only watched the TV series and haven't read the original novel, so my characterization is based entirely on the show.

I'll do my best to avoid OOC, but Li Xunran and Xie Han aren't major characters in the show, so their characterization isn't very fleshed out. I've added some headcanons of my own.

The story mostly follows the original novel, but to avoid quoting large sections of it, I've written the details myself. The TV series centers on Jian Yao and Bo Jinyan, while this story centers on Li Xunran, so it includes original plotlines.
