I Thought She Was Crazy About Me

[A truly scheming, talkative male celebrity x a seemingly cool and indifferent female assistant] The bastard will have to suffer to win his wife back

["I thought you went out of your way to get close to me and take care of me because you liked me. I never imagined you were just dedicated to your job."]

Gu Qinghe had known for ages that her new boss was trouble. She didn't expect something to happen on their very first day together.

The man bumped into her, and the water in her cup just happened to splash onto the front of his shirt. His damp white shirt clung to his chest and stomach, outlining his muscles.

Gu Qinghe was about to apologize when she saw him deftly grab a cup of water from nearby and casually splash it forward.

A large patch of her pant leg got wet.

"Now we're even." The man seemed to chuckle. He set down the cup and brushed past her.

Gu Qinghe: ...I'll put up with it! He's my boss, after all.

When Huang Jinghuan's male assistant quit to return to his hometown and get married, his younger sister suddenly asked him to give a friend of hers a job. So he simply hired that friend as his assistant.

He thought she must be someone special, but she gave herself away the moment they met.

Just another one of the same kind.

He couldn't wait to tear off that fake mask of affection.

On the day Gu Qinghe resigned, she packed up her things and left without hesitation.

Huang Jinghuan stared at her retreating figure for a long time, feeling that something wasn't right.

"Didn't you take this job because you liked me and wanted to get close to me?" he asked, looking at her in disbelief.

"Get close to you? Sorry, I don't know what gave you that impression." Gu Qinghe looked up, confusion in her eyes. "I really just needed a job. I don't like you at all."

But I like you.
