Former Teammates Before the Writing Begins [Entertainment Industry]

After the disbandment of his former nationally popular boy band, Xie Rang, who had always been little more than a background figure in the group, dutifully followed the company's plans and spent several years acting without ever making much of a splash. He thought things would stay that way, until disaster struck out of nowhere.

Manager: "A variety show wants you to be a mentor! Your former bandmate will be there too! You've got to seize this chance!"

Xie Rang nearly had a heart attack. His former bandmate...

Jin Yunzhou had been secretly in love with Xie Rang for eight years. From their days in the group to the time they went their separate ways, he'd never given up. But Xie Rang had always avoided him. After the group broke up, they never worked together again, or even saw each other.

Until Jin Yunzhou finally found out that Xie Rang was going to appear on a variety show...

Director: Plan successfully executed. Check.

When fans heard that the two youngest members of the old group were finally going to work together, they went wild.

Jin Yunzhou was happily scrolling through Weibo on his phone. But when he clicked into the CP fan forum, he found this:

[There are seven members in the group and 42 possible CPs, but those two are the one pairing that could never happen! Life is hard. The boys are working so hard to give us fan service!]

???

Jin Yunzhou opened Weibo and started showing off their relationship on the sly.

[Yunzhou's jacket is Xie Rang's!]

[Come on, what's the big deal? Good friends borrowing each other's jackets is totally normal.]

[In this photo, Yunzhou is napping with his head on what looks like Xie Rang's leg!]

[Come on, don't make a fuss over nothing. Guys in our class sit on each other's laps too.]

[This photo of Yunzhou looks like it was taken at Xie Rang's place!]

[Come on, it's normal for good friends to stay over at each other's houses.]

[But it's Xie Rang's bedroom...]

[Poor Xie is broke! Housing in the capital is so expensive. Maybe he's only got one bedroom. He can't exactly make Yunzhou sleep in the living room.]

[But you can see the back of Xie Rang's head in the bed...]

[Isn't that normal?]

[It looks like they're naked...]

[Wait, what?!]

The few CP fans left: We actually lived to see the day our ship became real!
