A Joyful Youth That Lasts Forever

[A simple, quiet story about young love, with a touch of chuunibyou, melodrama, and showing off.]

Couple: Gorgeous, strong, super-flirty, shameless top Ming Ci x cool, aloof, face-slapping warning bottom Xi Yinshu

Blurb 1

A top student who's terrible at every subject except English, with a score of just 32, manages to flirt with an all-around top student using his broken English.

High-frequency vocabulary becomes a witness to their romance. One top student memorizes words while the other quizzes him. Before they know it, they've quizzed their way from A to Z, falling in love in their youth and staying together into old age.

Ming Ci says: Good thing I'm a good actor. I made my broken English sound convincing. Otherwise, how could I have hooked the top student in my year and made him my lifelong partner?

Xi Yinshu thinks it over for a long time, wondering whether he should tell the other guy that he'd long since figured out he was pretending to be bad at some subjects. Should he spare him the embarrassment?

Blurb 2

Wenxing High has a "same-sex couple."

Everyone knows Ming Ci came up with the stupid idea of pretending to be a couple with Xi Yinshu because he was tired of being pursued by delinquents.

Everyone knows Xi Yinshu and Ming Ci are good friends, and that Xi Yinshu agreed to pretend to be his boyfriend to help Ming Ci get out of trouble.

In reality...

Ming Ci: We're a real couple.

Xi Yinshu: We always have been.
