Enter the Gate of Longing

In the first year of the Tianshou era, the Empress renamed the dynasty Zhou and established its capital at Shendu. The court's power struggles spilled into the martial world. The Plum Blossom Guards, the Princess's Office, the Embroidered Uniform Bureau, the princes' tutors... Countless agents of the court poured in, unleashing a storm of bloodshed across the jianghu.

Everyone sought the emperor's favor, hoping to win fame and fortune and become a trusted courtier.

But he wanted to brew tea and warm wine in the green hills, sharing the passing seasons with his beloved, playing out their game in peace, free of rivalry, and fishing for snow on a cold river.

[Key Points]

This is not a traditional wuxia novel. The main focus is court intrigue, with the jianghu also playing a part.

CP: A cold-blooded secret agent chief who is lawless and unrestrained, the shou, Bai Qichi VS a Russian nesting doll who has gone mad and split personalities, yet is devoted to one person, the gong, Lin Wubie (he has a ridiculous number of names, depending on his mood).

1. The plot has a bit of mystery. It is set during the reign of Wu Zetian, but the story is fictional and does not follow the history books. =w=

2. The romance will get angsty, but only because of outside forces. The leads have no irreconcilable feud between them. (Like my last book, except this one doesn't even have a blood feud.)

3. Happy ending. Brewing tea in the green hills, sharing the seasons forever.

4. I will definitely finish it this year.

Pre-release: The Book of Celestial Offices (The title is taken from Records of the Grand Historian)

CP: A scheming heir apparent with severe paranoid delusions, the gong VS a court mystic who loves life but keeps running into the dead, the shou

At the start of the Northern Song, the court had an ailing heir apparent who doted on his concubine and refused to marry.

There was also a Grand Astrologer whose predictions were wrong every other time, but when they were right, someone died.

The officials feared that the sickly prince would cross paths with the harbinger of death and both would perish. Little did they know the two had already joined forces in secret and were taking the world by storm.

Theme: Enter the gate of longing, and know what longing is.
