--Male lead's perspective--
She's another man's wife.
So what? I have a thousand ways to make her mine.
As a once-in-tens-of-thousands-of-years genius, Jidu took only eight hundred years to go from mortal to god, then only three hundred more to ascend to the position of Divine Lord.
Who knew that one trip to the mortal world to undergo tribulation would make him fall for someone all over again?
He fell in love at first sight with a young woman, but she already had a husband, and the two were deeply in love.
He tossed and turned over it, unable to sleep at night, jealousy consuming his heart.
Then one day, he heard her husband say with his own ears, "Brothers are like limbs, women are like clothes. Why bother with your wife? Come on, let's keep drinking."
He knew his chance had come.
At last, she became his wife.
But he grew even more anxious, because although she was clearly poor, she kept producing large sums of money and couldn't explain where they came from.
Then one day, he saw that the money had all come from some strange man. Pretending not to know, he repeatedly tested her about where it came from, but she looked away and still wouldn't tell him the truth.
Jidu's heart went cold.
Had this day finally come? Would the wife he'd gone to such lengths to take for himself now be stolen away by someone else?
Jidu did his best to put on a gentle expression so he wouldn't frighten his wife. His voice was incredibly tender as he said, "A Fu, could you give the money back? Otherwise, I'll kill myself in front of you."
[His wife could never be at fault.]
[It's all those other men seducing his wife.]
[It's fine. He'll soothe his wife first, then deal with those other men one by one. He has plenty of strength and ways to handle them.]

--Female lead's perspective--
Fuyue was born from the first wisp of demonic energy at the dawn of creation. She is the ancestor of all demons, and her favorite pastime is wandering the mortal world.
The day she met Jidu, he'd just been robbed. His clothes were in tatters and he had no money, but his face was so refined and otherworldly that he seemed like an immortal from the heavens.
She fell for him.
So when he said both his parents were dead, all his relatives had died too, and begged her to take him in, she did.
When he said her "husband" was fooling around outside and couldn't behave himself, she kicked her "husband" out.
When he said the chickens, ducks, cats, and dogs at home couldn't be left uncared for, and volunteered to marry into her family, she agreed.
After they married, he was considerate in everything and always put her first. He was very obedient and well-behaved, and she was quite satisfied. She thought that when he eventually died of old age, she'd take him back to the Demon Realm and continue their love in the next life.
Then one day, when he trembled all over and threatened to kill himself, his divine aura leaked out, and she finally realized who he was.
The new ruler of the Divine Realm, Lord Jidu, who had once beaten her disciple until he was sprawled on the ground.
Those damned gods! They dared pretend to be mortals and ruin her Daoist heart!
In a fit of anger, she faked her death and returned to the Demon Realm. Even hearing that he'd cut down the Underworld with a single sword just to find her soul didn't move her.
Then one day, her disciple excitedly introduced her to a new friend. Apparently, he'd once been a god, but disliked the Divine Realm's rules and was willing to join the Demon Realm, serving it with all his heart until his dying breath.
She didn't pay much attention, until she saw that his face was exactly like that of her mortal husband. But now he wasn't in disguise, his body was wreathed in divine aura, and he looked even more beautiful than before.
Her: "?"
Again? Has he gotten addicted to acting?
Much later, the disciple finally learned the truth. He didn't blame Jidu for beating him back then, since he'd simply been outmatched, but he was furious about the man's behavior.
He'd treated him like a brother, but that brother wanted to get into bed with his master. What a bastard!
