After Pretending to Be in Love with My Tsundere Fiancée on a Dating Show

1.

Jiang Liuxu and Wen Baoyi have been betrothed to each other since they were little.

Back in school,

Jiang Liuxu, as seen by Wen Baoyi: loud, a gaming addict, and a shameless flirt who treats everyone like a sweetheart.

Wen Baoyi, as seen by Jiang Liuxu: a neat freak, a “good student” with an inexplicable attitude, and a tattletale.

Everyone knows Jiang Liuxu and Wen Baoyi can't stand each other, but no one knows they've been bound together since birth.

2.

After growing up, Wen Baoyi and Jiang Liuxu spend no more than 24 hours together in the same room over the course of an entire year.

Their parents are so worried they can't sleep. In the end, one of the more up-to-date elders settles it: “Aren't dating shows popular lately? Send these two on one to build their relationship! Surely if they see each other every day, they'll fall in love sooner or later!”

Before this, Wen Baoyi and Jiang Liuxu were at each other's throats online. In the blink of an eye, they become a secretly paired-up couple on a dating show.

Wen Baoyi twists her mouth as she looks at the script in her hands, then glances at Jiang Liuxu, who has hurried over in her esports team uniform. “I... damn it all.”

Can she still get out of this by dying right now? Who goes on a dating show to meet her own fiancee?

3.

On other dating shows, it's love at first sight, falling for each other at second sight, and growing old together by the third.

On Wen Baoyi and Jiang Liuxu's show, they clash at first sight, awkwardly wish the ground would swallow them at second sight, and want to split up and expose each other's secrets by the third.

Wen Baoyi watches the academically hopeless Jiang Liuxu struggle to solve even one quadratic graph problem, and her face turns red with anger. “Didn't I tell you to finish high school before going pro in esports? How can you be this stupid, from childhood to now? I don't want to be your teammate anymore. I'm done!”

Jiang Liuxu watches Wen Baoyi spend the whole day being taught, yet fail to understand the synergies and champions in a single auto-chess lineup. She lets out a soft hiss. “Aren't you always so good at criticizing me online? What was it you said about my title and my skin? And you support Jiang Tao? But you've never even played the game? Do you watch esports matches with your mouth?”

Wen Baoyi, hit where it hurts, slams down her tablet and points at Jiang Liuxu with a trembling finger. After a long struggle, she manages: “No wonder you're single!”

Jiang Liuxu says mildly, “That's not true. Isn't my fiancee you? How could I be single?”

“Looks like the only option is for me to become a widower. What do you think, Teacher Wen?”

Wen Baoyi's expression twists. “I'll strangle you! If anyone's getting widowed, it'll be me first!”
