Blurb:
The summer after the college entrance exams, Liang Fengyu ran into Chen Qingji and was surprised to discover that her younger brother’s friend was actually quite handsome.
She confessed her feelings, but he turned her down without hesitation. “Sorry, I’m not planning to date anyone.”
She wasn’t fazed. “You still have to give me a chance.”
“Sure. A hundred meters,” Chen Qingji said, nodding toward the track in the distance without another word. “Beat me in a race.”
Liang Fengyu rolled her eyes at the sky.
Chen Qingji smiled, thinking that was the end of it. But one day, she showed up and challenged him to a race.
Chen Qingji lazily took his place on the track, thinking he might give her a few seconds’ head start so she wouldn’t lose too badly.
But as soon as the starting pistol fired, a group of boys from the school team rushed over and pinned him firmly to the track.
He watched helplessly as Liang Fengyu completed a lap at a snail’s pace. She crouched in front of him, a smile dancing in her eyes and on her lips. “Chen Qingji, do you keep your word?”
Cool, aloof guy vs. flirty little butterfly
Athlete vs. art student
“Some encounters are truly amazing, like the moment I met you.”, “Little Universe”
Unexpected childhood friend / equally matched / slow burn / hero older than heroine
·Author’s Weibo: @-Bi Tian-. Come say hi!
·Blurb dated 2021/07/28. The title comes from an old volume title; first published 2019/06. Please show respect.
[After receiving messages from readers, I want to clarify something here. This blurb was finalized in the first half of 2021 and posted on Jinjiang on July 28, 2021, with screenshots to prove it. At the time, the descriptions of the male lead were: handsome, carefree, nodding toward something, lazy, cool guy, athlete. The heroine was described as straightforward, unfazed after being rejected, a scheming little butterfly, and an art student. Both leads were written around the blurb, with no changes at all. The male lead is cool and sharp-tongued on the outside, but awkward, open, and sincere about love. I had already written the heroine’s personality before: Li Zhuoyan in the May 9, 2021 bonus chapter of “Biting Red Lips” has the same warm-on-the-outside, guarded-on-the-inside personality. She seems lively, cheerful, and talkative, gets along with everyone, but overthinks things and feels insecure inside. She also pursues people directly. The heroine’s “appreciation for the male body” trait was established very early. Since I’ve edited the document, I can only provide a screenshot dated July 30, 2021, though the actual date was earlier.
The person questioning me didn’t provide a comparison chart, but instead left comments all over the place, directly labeling this book as plagiarism. No author wants their work slandered and defamed, so I’m laying out the facts here in the blurb first.
If you still believe there’s any reason for suspicion after reviewing the timeline, you can make a comparison chart and submit a report to Jinjiang. Please don’t make baseless accusations of plagiarism, and don’t bring up other books in the comments.]
“Watching the Moon Through Your Window”
Blurb:
As a writer who’s hopeless at writing romance, Liang Jingmo is constantly criticized by readers for making her stories hard to relate to.
No one knows that she once had a secret identity and published a book about secret love. Her writing was subtle and moving, and resonated with countless readers.
One day, Liang Jingmo accidentally logged into the wrong account, revealing her secret identity and stirring up a commotion.
Readers flocked to her and asked, “Author, who exactly is ‘Winter’ in your book?”
She wanted to reply several times:
He’s the son of her grandmother’s friend, and her uncle in name only.
*
When Liang Jingmo was sixteen, she met Yan Hanchi for the first time.
The man wore a black sweater with a folded collar. He had a pair of cool, narrow phoenix eyes, yet an air of reckless confidence.
Her elders told her to stay away from him, lest he lead her astray.
Liang Jingmo thought the idea that came to her at that moment was already bad enough.
Later, one day, Yan Hanchi happened to see her book.
In the silence of the afternoon, the man leaned against the window and turned page after page.
When he finished, he showed no particular reaction. He simply handed the book back to her and asked, “Why didn’t they end up together?”
Liang Jingmo felt relieved, yet inexplicably bitter. “…He was such a great male lead. I was afraid of desecrating him.”
Yan Hanchi put a cigarette between his lips and noticed her evasive glance. He just smiled.
“Don’t be afraid.”
Cool, roguish rich boy x seemingly obedient girl
Seven-year age gap / reunion after years apart / secret love comes true / quiet slow burn
One day after they got together:
“Liang Jingmo.”
“What?”
The man tossed her a book, his voice lazy. “Go change the ending.”
“?”
Theme: May we all have a wonderful summer.
