/An early work, with a style rather different from the author's later writing./
Mu Yao was the first rabbit spirit in the demon realm to ascend. He was tiny, with red eyes, and when he got nervous, his ears and tail would pop out.
The frightening part was that the crown prince of the Celestial Clan, who had waged war against the demon tribes for ten thousand years, was said to hate demons most of all. He could snap the necks of a hundred demons in one go.
The weak little demon Mu Yao touched his neck and hid his ears and tail.
He first met Jin Hong at the birthday banquet for the White Emperor. Jin Hong was an unremarkable attendant serving the crown prince: a bit timid, a bit useless, and too embarrassed to confess when he liked someone. Whenever he lost a fight, he would come running back to Mu Yao in tears, eyes brimming.
He was also very thoughtful. He knew what Mu Yao liked to eat and where he wanted to go, and he even complimented his ears and tail.
The two kindred little misfits found comfort in each other and huddled together in the Celestial Palace.
Later, the ferocious beast Jiuying, imprisoned for ten thousand years, broke out of its tower, throwing the Celestial Palace into chaos.
Mu Yao fought his way against the fleeing crowd to save Jin Hong, only to see the person who usually got so scared of snake demons that he hid in Mu Yao's arms now standing with one foot on Jiuying's back, casually twisting off one of its skulls.
Amid the cheers, Mu Yao heard the immortals calling Jin Hong "Your Highness, the Crown Prince."
Mu Yao, who had been preparing to fight Jiuying to the death: ???
Jin Hong blinked and tossed Jiuying's head behind him, looking completely innocent. "It was an accident. This was an accident!"
Mu Yao: an adorably clueless little immortal official, the bottom
Jin Hong: a shameless schemer, the top
Reading guide and content notes:
1. Not your typical fluffy romance, with plot twists later on.
2. The top has a bit of a tea-green streak.
3. The top's love at first sight is not typical, and he pursues the bottom with childish persistence.
4. One couple in both past and present lives; the worldbuilding is partly original.

After I Dumped the Demon King
Yuan Run was a fox who was good at shapeshifting.
For a mission, he spent three years caring for a cold, aloof young man. Once the young man had fallen deeply in love with him, Yuan Run tricked him out of the item he wanted and left without a backward glance.
Later, he took another mission: infiltrate the lair of a brutal, bloodthirsty demon king and steal a rare treasure. The reward was generous.
He slipped into the bathing pool where the demon king, Mu Yuan, was soaking, and saw a handsome face as cold as ice. It was also terribly familiar.
"Why is it him again?!"
Yuan Run was terrified. His hand slipped, his feet gave way, and he fell in.
Splash.
Lu Xiuyuan's gaze settled on the little fox that had suddenly appeared.
Its fur was pure white, all four fluffy paws were planted on his damp clothes, and its eyes were watery.
"Is it you?" Lu Xiuyuan stroked its ears, speaking gently.
Belated remorse made the little fox pause. Almost as if in a trance, it nodded.
"Then kill it," Lu Xiuyuan said coldly.
Yuan Run: It hasn't come to that!!!
Everyone in the demon realm knew that the Demon Lord once had a beloved fox spirit, who betrayed him and wounded him deeply.
So the little demons opened a betting pool, wagering on how many days the returning fox spirit would survive at the Demon King's hands.
Months passed. They never heard news of the fox's death, but they did see the white fox's belly growing bigger by the day.
The Demon King knelt at the door of their bedchamber, his back straight. "A Run, your health comes first..."
A pillow flew out.
"You obviously... It's all your fault!" Yuan Run clutched his increasingly round belly, looking utterly aggrieved.

Saving the Beautiful Tragic Hero
A treasure-filled beast who is determined to keep his secret identity hidden, the bottom x A villain who wants your body, not your blood, the top
Jiang Tang woke up nearly starving to death.
When he heard the sound of plants being trampled nearby, he used all his strength to roll in front of someone's path.
Black clothes, a sword on his back, covered in blood.
His eyes seemed to hold ten thousand sword lights, but Jiang Tang didn't see them. He wrapped his front paws around the man's leg.
"Let go," the man said coldly, lifting a foot to leave.
The little one's soft baby teeth caught the hem of his clothes. Its eyes were watery. "Whimper."
"..."
He looked down at the fluffy white bundle by his feet. A long-lost warmth seeped through his boots, and his blood-covered hand slowly tightened.
At last, he bent down and scooped it up.
·
Only later did Jiang Tang learn that he had transmigrated into a book, and that the person he had stopped was Fu Sheng, the great villain who had been betrayed and abandoned by everyone, left with enemies on all sides.
And Jiang Tang himself was very likely the most powerful tonic in the book, a treasure beast coveted by the entire cultivation world.
Jiang Tang valued his life too much to run around recklessly. He kept his treasure-beast secret identity hidden and pretended to be a little pet. He clung to Fu Sheng's leg, chewed on his clothes, and even crawled into his arms to sleep at night. If he got Fu Sheng attached to him, then surely the exceptionally talented Fu Sheng, whose cultivation reached the heavens, wouldn't be able to bring himself to hurt him, right? QAQ
Until one day, Jiang Tang felt unbearably hot and sore all over, and burrowed into Fu Sheng's arms, writhing restlessly.
He felt a pair of large hands soothing his agitation and unease, but he was in too much pain. He cried and wailed until he finally passed out.
When he woke, he met Fu Sheng's deep, desire-filled gaze. Weakly, he raised a bare arm
Wait, a hand?
Where were his paws?!
Why wasn't he wearing clothes!
Theme: Stay true to yourself and seek your true identity.
He runs away, he chases, they have no wings to fly.
