Everyday Schemes Between Max-Level Experts

[20.1.6. An easygoing fantasy story where an alternate modern world coexists with another world. The blurb is just a rough draft for now, to be revised later.]

Mocha is a novice beast tamer determined to become the very best. Unfortunately, she has no talent, and every beast runs away as soon as it sees her.

Wen Ke is a kitchen-wrecking wannabe who dreams of becoming a first-rate spirit beast caretaker. Of course, the first step is keeping the kitchen intact.

The two newbies meet on their travels, then set off together, sharing their dreams.

-

After they become close, Mocha keeps trying to figure out how to explain to Wen Ke that she also has a secret identity as a caretaker named "Cha Yin."

She's afraid her teammate will feel inferior because of the huge difference in their status.

What a heartwarmingly considerate teammate she is.

-

Then, one day, the First Spirit Beast Breeding Association of Lingchuan invites masters from all sides to a symposium.

The rising genius caretaker "Cha Yin" and Lingchuan's top beast tamer, "Wen Ren Ke," sit face-to-face, then fall silent for a long while.

"I have a friend..." x2

"..."

"..."

That friend you're talking about is definitely you!

-

We still don't know what caused the series of explosions at the symposium that day. Many thanks to the on-the-scene reporter from "Lingchuan Under Heaven" for sending in this report.
