"Dear player, would you accept Lord Night God's invitation to go to Night Valley and slay the final boss? You'll receive top-tier gear if you succeed!"
"Accept gladly" or "Reject cruelly"?
Ever since the popular online game Legends of the Night God came out six years ago, players all over the world had been rushing to follow the NPC Night God. Not a single person had ever turned down Lord Night God's invitation, until that man appeared.
He casually clicked Reject!
Night God's fury turned into a wave of resentment that entered the body of Ye Shen, a minor celebrity.
He wanted revenge. He would make that man taste what it was like to be rejected!
Armed with encyclopedic knowledge of Legends of the Night God, its life skills, treasure maps, and top-tier gear, Ye Shen began struggling his way through the entertainment industry and accidentally became a huge star.

Huo Zixi, currently the most popular two-time film award winner in the industry, accepted an endorsement for the online game Legends of the Night God. To keep his main account secret, he livestreamed for his fans using an alt.
On his very first livestream, he was lucky enough to run into Lord Night God. Huo Zixi stared at his level-three alt and fell into deep thought.
Why did it have to be his alt???
In front of millions of fans, he calmly clicked Reject Cruelly...
And from then on, he embarked on a long road to winning his wife back.
Bonus Scene 1:
At a livestreamed variety show, all the rookies moved aside to let the award-winning actor pass. Only Ye Shen glared coldly and refused to budge.
Huo Zixi: "...Bro, can you move, please?"
Ye Shen: "Hmph, I refuse!"
Actor Huo: "..."
I have no idea what I did to offend him, but he looks so good when he's mad.
Bonus Scene 2:
Huo Zixi's main account was the top-ranked player overall in Legends of the Night God, until one day he found his first-place position under threat.
Man Who Wants to Become Night God's Man: "Bro, you've been pretty cocky lately. Want to duel?"
Night God Himself: "Hmph, I refuse!"
Actor Huo: "..."
That tone sounds so familiar.
Bonus Scene 3:
Fans discovered that the two players tied for first place in Legends of the Night God were actually the industry's hottest ship, Huo Zixi and Ye Shen?!
They acted cold and distant in public, but went sightseeing and showered each other with affection in the game?!
The news of their relationship sent the public into an uproar.
Huo Zixi finally lost his patience and pinned him against the wall, biting him. "We're making it official. Now."
Ye Shen: "I refu... Mmm..."
Looks like he can't refuse.
