Mom Hasn't Hit Me in Three Days

[Synopsis]

What would you do if you discovered that your husband, whom you married for the sake of your families, was the terrifying heartthrob from your middle school days...

That terrifying heartthrob is still terrifying. He's cold-faced, black-hearted, and now has a limp, with a sickly, otherworldly air about him...

Your children all take after him: rambunctious yet clever, beautiful yet maddening...

So, as a proper wife and mother, and the Jade Emperor's officially appointed partner sent down to earth, what should you do?

Shen Qian, an outstanding "cross-talk performer" with the Municipal Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe, will tell you:

Of course, join them!

Good socialist sons and daughters never back down. Women can hold up half the sky. Even if your spirit can't, your flesh certainly can :)

The heroine, Shen Qian, is a goofy Northeastern girl, a music major, slightly chubby, and a singer-songwriter whose personal passion is folk music.

The hero, Yao Xinhe, is an incredibly handsome former heartthrob, ruthless and calculating. His eldest daughter is adopted, and after marriage he has two children in three years.

A contemporary urban romance, played straight for laughs, and sweet with a tangy edge.

Theme: Organize family activities sensibly, and raise the next generation of socialism properly.
