I'm a Koi of Good Fortune, So Stop Passing Me Around

Ning Yuan figured he must have desecrated the ancestral grave of a woman named Shu Mu in his previous life. Otherwise, there was no explaining this. He was an old koi who had attained immortality, and he hadn't taken on a low-level job granting human wishes in ages. But lately, he didn't know what had gotten into him. Whenever he lay down, his mind would automatically start replaying this woman's prayers: "Make me thinner," "Help me pass my exam," "Help me find a boyfriend." She even prayed to him because she was too hungry to afford food! Ning Yuan was baffled. How could someone whose entire family had a combined net worth of one secondhand bicycle have the nerve to ask him to get rich overnight? And how could someone who weighed around 120 pounds, give or take, have the nerve to ask him for a dream guy? Ning Yuan felt like he couldn't go on living this way. So he waited on the road Shu Mu took after evening study and called out to her. "Hey, you." "Handsome... no, no, Daoist... were you calling me?" "I'm a koi. Stop praying to me all the time." "..." "What's with that look? You don't believe me?" "...No, I totally believe you. So can you make me rich overnight?" "No." "That's okay, we can negotiate." "How?" "Be my boyfriend." "..." "What's with that expression?" "Don't talk. I'm thinking about how to make you rich overnight." "..."
