I Smile Whenever I See You

Published under the title "Give Me a Little Sunshine and I'll Bloom," with a newly added Xia Wulin and Chen Lin bonus chapter. President Shen has been gloomy lately because his newly retired mother suddenly got hooked on health shows. No oil at breakfast, no salt at lunch, not a trace of meat at dinner. If he eats more than two bowls of rice, she says he's slowly killing himself. After a few days, President Shen has lost a lot of weight and feels like he's about to become an immortal. He can't help loathing the host of the health show. "Mom, that host used to be a complete idiot. I think you should listen to her less." Mrs. Shen asks, "What do you mean? You two knew each other before?" President Shen replies, "Not well. We just dated for a while." Mrs. Shen gasps. "What! Son, have you gotten over your germophobia? You actually dated a girl? Wait, where are you going!?" President Shen replies, "Nowhere. I just thought, if she won't play fair, neither will I. Since she's been making life miserable for my mom, I might as well get her back properly." Mrs. Shen: "..." Upbeat, funny, sincere, and sweet. Bring sunflower seeds, cola, and emergency heart medicine before diving in. The Taiwanese phrases may occasionally be inauthentic.
