When Yukimura entered Rikkai Dai, he had already heard the name Egawa Kiyogami.

But after enrolling, what he heard most were all kinds of rumors about this current captain and senior.

When they met at the U-17 tournament, Egawa looked at the exorcist who had suddenly appeared, then at his boyfriend's amused expression and the wide-eyed faces of his juniors. Hearing his teammates behind him embellish the story, he could not help looking up at the sky and sighing.

He really wasn't the way everyone said he was. He could explain!!!

Atobe Seiichi is the second son of the Atobe family, one of Japan's three top conglomerates. His father is Atobe Keigo, and his older brother is the next heir to the Atobe conglomerate, whose business spans the entire world.

Before he was in a car accident while rushing to gather for a competition, he was no different from other ordinary students who hoped to become professional table tennis players.

The only real difference was probably that his family was very wealthy, his father was Atobe Keigo, and his older brother was the conglomerate's next heir.

As the younger son, he did not have to be groomed as an heir from childhood like his older brother. Since he did not need to inherit the family business, the expectations placed on him were not as strict as those placed on his brother. But he had an ambitious goal of his own: to follow in the footsteps of Uncle Yukimura, the world's number one, and become the world's number one professional table tennis player.

So he chose table tennis, a sport much like tennis, yet completely different.

But after waking up from the car accident, he found that he seemed to have traveled back to the time when his father was in middle school. Following his memories, he found Hyotei Academy, where his father had attended middle school, and saw a mini version of his “father” standing on the podium, snapping his fingers and grandly announcing to everyone that he would become the emperor of Hyotei Academy.

Facing a “father” about his own age, and looking at a face that resembled his own by six-tenths, Seiichi could not help touching the beauty mark near his eye and falling silent.

His father always seemed mature and dependable, and the same was true of his older brother. So how had his father been such a chuunibyou in middle school?

To uncover the reason behind his father's such a “split” personality, Seiichi decided to join the tennis club for the time being. He knew that in middle school, his father had been as famous as Uncle Yukimura, one of the Four Great Middle School Captains. His father had been popular and skilled, but gave up tennis in high school because of his studies.

Although his goal was to become the world's number one professional table tennis player, he had also learned tennis, and it had been taught to him by Uncle Yukimura, the world's number one. So he should be able to get a spot among the tennis club's regulars.

But during his three middle school years of investigating the “truth about his father's personality,” he, now known as “Little Atobe” after becoming a regular, seemed to understand why his father had been such a chuunibyou, especially whenever he met Uncle Yukimura and the others, or Uncle Tezuka.
