After I Pretended to Be the School Heartthrob's Rescuer

In the year Fang Yuyin was poorest, the person he envied most was the school heartthrob's lackey.

The heartthrob was Tan Mochen, the young master of the Tan family, who had no concept of money and spent it extravagantly. He'd tip someone a thousand to run an errand, or transfer two thousand to get someone to attend class for him. Fang Yuyin was green with envy.

So when the heartthrob Tan Mochen accidentally fell into the water, and a slender young man rescued him before hurrying away, Fang Yuyin cautiously stepped forward and helped him up.

Just then, Tan Mochen opened his eyes, studying him.

Fang Yuyin stammered, "I, I was the one who saved you."

Thanks to his status as Tan Mochen's lifesaver, Fang Yuyin became his lackey as he'd hoped. Tan Mochen casually gave him a watch worth a million, a car worth two million, and a house worth five million.

Fang Yuyin no longer had to worry about making ends meet, but he grew more and more uneasy. Tan Mochen was giving him far too much.

When Tan Mochen accidentally found out that Fang Yuyin couldn't swim, Fang Yuyin lied again to keep this lifestyle going. "Th-that's because I like you. Love lets people overcome their instincts."

After that, Fang Yuyin noticed Tan Mochen had changed.

Tan Mochen would give Fang Yuyin a good-morning kiss, take him to his favorite restaurant for lunch, and slip a hand inside his clothes at night.

Things were getting more and more out of hand. It wasn't until Tan Mochen tried to take things further that Fang Yuyin finally realized Tan Mochen had been treating him exactly like a boyfriend all this time.

Tan Mochen: Repaying a lifesaving favor with yourself is only right and proper.

Fang Yuyin was stunned. "I only wanted to scam his money. I never meant to steal his heart."

Just as Fang Yuyin was feeling even guiltier, Tan Mochen's actual lifesaver showed up.

Fang Yuyin hid his disappointment, packed his things, and prepared to leave.

Just then, Tan Mochen walked in. His gaze fell on Fang Yuyin's luggage, and his eyes instantly darkened. With a soft laugh, he locked the door and undid a button on his shirt with one hand. "What, not going to keep pretending, little liar?"
