[Swords of Legends Crossover] A Pillow Dream of Penglai

This fic is built on a mountain of headcanons. I got absolutely wrecked by Penglai, so I started writing this to give Penglai a hard time. But Su Mengzhen is a great guy, right? I can't let Penglai hold him back. So it ends up being very sweet, and the male lead is a total goofball. How else could he get into Penglai? Don't let the beginning fool you. Upcoming fic: [The Tale of Food + Jian Wang 3] The Young Master Is a Sewing Specialist Blurb: Gao Yun wakes up one day and finds himself transported from the modern world to the Tang Dynasty, where he becomes a proud little Shixiu and joins the Lingxue Pavilion. Ji Bieqing kindly gives him the codename Sangzhu, taken from the lines, “Mulberry branches stretch across the desolate fields, while neem blossoms flourish; the wind gathers their lingering scent and wafts it over the walls.” But after he dies in battle in the Tang Dynasty, he discovers that he has become the Young Master of Kong Sang. ...So I really am Sangzhu. Ji Bieqing, are you some kind of fortune-teller? No wonder your good friend is Zixuzi and you joined Chunyang Palace! After settling into Kong Sang and learning a little about the situation, Yi Ya starts causing trouble. Kong Sang is destroyed, and the food spirits are forced to scatter to avoid being corrupted. Gao Yun is furious inside: Hold on! I'm a sewing specialist! You're telling me I have to find all the food spirits who were forced apart? How am I supposed to find them? What if they refuse to come back? Do I challenge them to a cooking duel? Hugeng, look me in the eyes, see my sewing-specialist dead fish stare, and say that again! But it doesn't matter. He still has to go find them. Fosheng: Beautiful Young Master, where are we going tomorrow? Gao Yun: Don't call me beautiful, or I'll beat you up! Tomorrow... tomorrow we're going to Peach Blossom Island to ask Huang Rong and her father for some tips. At the very least, I need to figure out how to make char siu buns, shrimp dumplings, and clay pot rice. Theme: Don't stick your hand out. Nothing good will come of it.
