Which Dazai Did You Pick Up?

Joining the VIP section on 12/26, with three chapters released that day!

Take a look at my upcoming story, Becoming a Double Agent for Research [Crossover]!

Under pressure from the System, a Yokohama executive is ordered to travel to different worlds and complete missions.

The mission: Take away something the target loves and give them something they hate. Investigate the target's likes and dislikes yourself.

To help him complete his missions, the System introduces a card-drawing feature that lets the Host draw helpers.

But he has never drawn anything except the mackerel guy!

"Why is it always this guy?"

"They're all SSRs. You should be happy, Host. You're incredibly lucky."

"..." Maybe he's the real mission target.

Much later, he discovers that the SSR draw rate in that pool is 90 percent, and every single SSR (emphasis on every single one) is Dazai Osamu!

Furious, he decides to tear the whole thing apart.

"Come on, if it weren't for that, we wouldn't have gotten together, right?"

"So you really were the one pulling the strings behind the scenes, you piece of junk!"

World One: The Taisho Era

Mission target: The Boss

Mission: Make the Boss drink wisteria tea and bask in the sun.

My name is Ryukawa Seigen, and I'm a Naoki Prize-winning novelist.

My inspiration comes from experience. To write a novel about the mafia, I pulled some strings to infiltrate an obscure mafia as a spy.

By chance, I joined the Black Organization as a fake liquor brand, and a year and a half later, I was sent to the biggest mafia in Yokohama as a double agent.

Do I look like someone cut out for being a double agent??

I packed my bags and headed to the Port Mafia, where I met a kind and kindly senior, then my childhood friend, supposedly on a secret mission, and a bandaged executive who seemed incapable of feeling anything.

The kind senior: Mm-hmm, gathering material is a very important part of writing. (Led astray)

My fellow double agent, my childhood friend: You're not doing research, you're trying to get yourself killed, aren't you?

The mysterious bandaged executive: Playing with people's hearts is a bad habit, you know~

Me, Ryukawa Seigen, a novelist, am currently working four jobs and on my way to a fifth.

My favorite thing to do is drag people who are about to die into one last interview.

Theme: Every meeting is fate. Cherish the present and learn to listen, or you may miss out
