Jujutsu High Is Keeping Me from Playing Volleyball

[This story will go into an inverted-V on July 4, through Chapter 23. If you've already read it, please be careful not to buy the chapters twice!] Post-match interview: -- Did you give up volleyball during your three years of high school? Did you come back because you love the sport? Taozaki: It's more than love. It's an obsession. Ushijima had a long-awaited promise: to play volleyball with his childhood friend in high school. Taozaki Aomi once won the title of Best Setter in the National Middle School League. He turned down an invitation from a top Tokyo volleyball school and headed straight for Shiratorizawa. Just as everything was going smoothly, a jujutsu sorcerer suddenly barged into his life. [Your jujutsu automatically absorbs the curses you see. If it exceeds your threshold, you will become a curse and attack those around you.] [Come to Jujutsu High.] "Gojo-sensei, does Jujutsu High have a volleyball club?" "No... You could start one yourself?" For his own safety, Taozaki eventually broke his promise and went to Jujutsu High. He could fulfill it in college, or, if all else failed, play professionally. As long as he could still play volleyball, that was enough! On the first day of school, Taozaki discovered there were only three people and one bear in his entire year. He silently turned dark. There weren't even enough people at this school to make a volleyball team! And seriously, could a four-year school even enter competitions?! Taozaki was sure that if he saw that bastard in sunglasses right now, he wouldn't be able to stop himself from throwing a punch. Four years later, the rotten higher-ups had finally been ousted. The jujutsu world could be rebuilt from scratch, but the strongest refused to bury himself in politics. "Aomi, how about you take charge?" Everyone but Aomi loved the idea. "No way. I'm going to play volleyball!" Though he had endured dark days and pain, the young man never forgot his original dream and kept moving forward with unwavering resolve. Four years later, he was finally competing in an official match again. When the set he sent out brought victory, The tremor in his soul felt like a long overdue declaration: The sport he loved Had been waiting for him, too. P.S. Pairing undecided, will follow the story. OOC warning. Theme: Grow through setbacks, forge ahead, and never give up.
