I Became The Tyrant’s Number-One Flatterer

[New Novel Preview: The Real Young Master Refuses to Be Hated by Everyone]

Song Pu finds himself inside a melodramatic historical romance novel, as a disposable minor character at the side of the villainous tyrant.

In the original story, the minor character is framed for violating one of the imperial consorts. The tyrant has him torn apart by five horses, then hangs his corpse on the city wall to dry.

To stay alive, Song Pu showers the tyrant with lavish praise, doing everything he can to keep him in a good mood. He is determined to become the tyrant's number one man, The Outcast beneath one person and above ten thousand others:

"Your Majesty is peerless in martial arts, able to hit a target a hundred paces away without ever missing. I admire you from the bottom of my heart!"

"Your Majesty is a dragon among men, a chosen son of heaven, second only to one and above ten thousand. It is the blessing of several lifetimes that I get to serve you!"

"Your Majesty held my hand. I won't wash it ever again!"

"The treasure Your Majesty bestowed upon me is no ordinary treasure! It is proof of Your Majesty's heartfelt care for me. I shall enshrine it as a family heirloom and pass it down for generations!"

"Your Majesty..." What the hell?

The tyrant carried him off to the imperial bed and said happily, "I permit you to say a few more nice things for me to hear."

Song Pu: "...MMP, fuck your mother, okay?"

The tyrant: "What does that mean?"

"The spring silkworm spins silk until it dies, the candle sheds tears until its wax is spent!"

Reader's Guide:

1. Bottom-focused story. A beautiful boy who showers people with praise to their faces and curses them behind their backs, with extremely sensitive pain receptors x a powerful beauty of a top, a childish, narcissistic madman whose face changes with the weather.

2. A sweet little romance, with the focus on love. No angst. One dares to praise, the other dares to believe it. Made for each other, a perfect match!

3. Neither lead has any romantic history, and there are no children.

4. The author isn't much of a writer. This is a fictional dynasty, so historical accuracy buffs, beware!

Synopsis:

Everyone knows Xie Mi has a beautiful face, but he's also greedy, petty, vicious, a liar who twists the truth, and empty inside.

Xie Mi was not brought back to the Xie family as their real young master until he was seventeen. Before then, he had struggled through a miserable life. Afterward, he had a mansion, luxury cars, and more money than he could spend, but his vicious nature turned a winning hand into a disaster, earning him the hatred of his parents and his older and younger brothers.

Everyone who knows about his sordid past is certain that sooner or later, Xie Mi will be kicked out of the Xie family. When that happens, he will surely wish he were dead.

Yet at some point, Xie Mi suddenly changed. He stopped making a scene and stopped using exaggerated, cutting remarks to get his family's attention. He no longer attacked his adoptive older brother, who still lived at home, with vicious words, nor did he lead his younger brother astray with lies.

He stopped street racing, distanced himself from his no-good friends, gave up smoking and drinking, dyed his hair back to black, picked up his books again, and started taking his classes seriously.

Everyone told him, "Xie Mi, stop pretending. We all know what kind of person you are."

Xie Mi only smiled and said nothing.

His parents and brothers did not believe him. They mocked him and watched coldly as he kept up his act day after day.

Only after Xie Mi got into a good university and became more and more outstanding and radiant did they realize they had been wrong.

Xie Mi had truly changed.

Xie Mi has a secret: he has been reborn.

In his previous life, his family finally reached the end of their patience, took away his mansion, luxury cars, and money, and sent him to a remote city.

He had briefly touched paradise, only to spend decades struggling through the mire of the mortal world.

He learned discipline, restraint, and everything a life of poverty could teach him.

After being reborn, he no longer sought attention or love. Like a craftsman, he was willing to spend ten years shaping himself into a great work of art.

Yet once he stopped asking for anything, all those who had hated him in his previous life came rushing back. They eagerly and desperately wanted even the slightest bit of his attention. Even Pei Yun Shen, the mysterious man with whom he had never interacted in his previous life, tactfully offered him a ticket to the opera.
