During biology class, Su Ya lay on her desk, sighing. "Ji Lingchuan, my stomach really hurts."

The quiet, handsome boy silently unscrewed his thermos and slipped it into Su Ya's arms, hiding the gesture behind their desks.

"Oh, brown sugar water!" Su Ya's eyes lit up as she gulped it down.

"Ji Lingchuan, I... I failed physics again!" Su Ya wailed, beating her chest. She glanced at her deskmate's test paper, green with envy.

The next day, the silent boy handed her a thick notebook without a word.

"Whoa!" Su Ya jumped up. It was a collection of exam predictions compiled by a top student!

"Ji Lingchuan, you're basically Doraemon!"

Her deskmate was so nice. He didn't talk much, but he was always warm and thoughtful. After three years together, Su Ya wholeheartedly considered him her best guy friend!

Good friends should share their secrets, so a week before the college entrance exams, she grinned and leaned toward the boy to tell him hers.

"I have someone I like!"

Ji Lingchuan lowered his eyes and moved a finger.

"I'm going to apply to the same university as him!"

"I've decided to confess to him after graduation. What do you think?"

Ji Lingchuan stayed silent, but his hand shook as he filled out her yearbook, making his writing crooked.

The college entrance exams were over. In a grove, Su Ya clutched a bunch of carnations and bounced on her feet to keep the mosquitoes away. As night fell, someone finally arrived.

"Y-you're here!" Su Ya stammered with excitement. Before she could even see who it was, she held the carnations out to them by moonlight.

Then her feet left the ground, and she realized she was being lifted into someone's arms.

The boy holding her was strikingly handsome, and his profile was familiar. But this wasn't her dream guy. It was her best friend!

"Y-you can put me down now." Su Ya suddenly felt a little timid.

Her guy friend lowered his head and stared at her with deep, unblinking eyes, speaking one word at a time.

"You drank the brown sugar water. You read the exam predictions. I even bought you sanitary pads. I went stargazing with you..."

"Did you think I spoiled you so I could be your best friend?"

Under the moonlight, the boy's presence was overwhelming, making Su Ya feel guiltier than ever. "Th-then what do you want to be?"

Ji Lingchuan curled his lips into a smile. His usual good nature was gone as he lowered his head and brushed her lips, his expression wicked. "The only thing I want to be is your man."
