My Husband Loves Osmanthus Cake

1.

Yu Yan was given in marriage by the master in place of Yu Baiwei, to the ugly Third Young Master of the Qiu family.

They said the Third Young Master of the Qiu family was naturally unruly and dissolute, and always kept bad company.

On the first night of their marriage,

she hid beneath her red bridal veil, nervously picking at her fingers. After a long while of working up her courage, she finally dared to peek at him.

She never expected the man before her to have deep-set eyes and a sharp jaw, with an air of cool elegance and nobility.

After that night, the notorious wastrel whom the whole city had once scorned suddenly became the dream of every unmarried young woman in town. They all vied to marry into the Qiu family.

2.

The little maid was naturally quiet and gentle, and people were always bullying her. Who could have guessed that she would one day become the apple of Third Master Qiu's eye?

In the Qiu residence's side courtyard:

A servant presented a treat with a flourish. "Osmanthus cakes are all the rage in the capital lately. Third Master, Madam, would you care to try some?"

Qiu Yunyan: "Set them down."

Yu Yan was speechless.

Seeing the girl's eager expression in a daze, he smiled faintly. "Want some?"

Yu Yan was speechless.

Qiu Yunyan smiled and picked one up, holding it to the girl's lips. "Open up."

Yu Yan was speechless... Wait! Yu Yan opened her mouth!

An hour later, Qiu Yunyan ordered the servants, "I'll buy up every osmanthus cake in the capital."

Everyone was stunned. So Third Young Master loved osmanthus cakes that much?

Word spread, and before long, young women from across the city were waiting outside the Qiu residence, each holding a box of golden osmanthus cakes.
